don't get me wrong on this, but people around the world are suffering because of this constant postponement of the crash. for me as an european it is a disgrace to watch a discussion on a controversy that should not be a controversy, but a matter of rationality. The US is consuming above its ability - what's an immensily imbalanced trade chart good if some phonies can plead publicly for the people to ignore it - just for the sake of their own investments?

However, part of me thinks this is all precisely calculated (conspiracy guy in me). Countries will start to withdraw from the dollar around 2010-2012, and with the dollar a formal shell that it once was, the powers that be will say this:

Thanks for posting this. I am in a service business. My revenues have declined steadily since 9/11/01. Some months have been worse than others. This month is the worst I have seen since I started in 1993. My credit line contracted and became too expensive in 2004, meanwhile energy costs, food costs, and government fees have escalated. These are symptoms of bigger problems. Thanks.
