worst karaoke I ever heard. no emotion whatso ever. i'VE heard this sang at FM RADIO STATIONS open mic auditions dozens of times. I think the radio dj's would have been nice to her b/c of her age. but when they ask the crowd to clap for their favorite. this girl would never make it past the first round in a local NYC radio station open mic comp.

I will say this just a matter of consistency, this year is a pardigm shifting year for Idol. If Lauren doesn't win it will be through no fault of her own. Previous rules for how people vote are going to be broken because of how deep the field is. Last night was the best performance show in 10 years of Idol with one bad performance in the whole night. Its a difficult vote and no one is guaranteed victory. That said, Lauren is still a leg up on the field because of her being a country-pop singer

Keep in mind Carrie Underwood had some awful performances on AI but never hit the bottom 3, why? Because the audience recognized her as a country pop star and voted accordingly. Alaina has the same thing going for her. Toscano, Durbin and Abrams are superb but neither of them have the mass appeal that Lauren Alaina has (in terms of getting votes on AI)

You know what's funny about Lauren? She really doesn't know just how good she is. She makes these faces when she's belting but you know that it isn't even close to what a real "belt" from her would be like. She underestimates herself and it's because she's so humble. I will say this just a matter of consistency, this year is a pardigm shifting year for Idol. If Lauren doesn't win it will be through no fault of her own. Previous rules for how people vote are going to be broken because of how deep the field is. Last night was the best performance show in 10 years of Idol with one bad performance in the whole night. Its a difficult vote and no one is guaranteed victory. That said, Lauren is still a leg up on the field because of her being a country-pop singer

Carrie Underwood was not my favorite contestant in season 4. Simon Cowell was really a genius in favoring her in the competition and make her won. His prediction was really true that she can sell millions of album copies.

@samuelade Dude, Carrie Underwood was a lot of times stiff and when she couldnt sing country (save for the week she sang Heart) she was lost but it didnt matter. Like I said before, if the American Idol audience recognizes you as a country-pop singer you have it made. Plus what is annoying and immature to you A LOT more people find endearing. I've watched this show for 8 of the 9 years and frankly know the psychology of the audience a lot better than you. Barring a collapse, she's going to win.

@samuelade Youre a troll but I'll flesh this out. If youre a country-pop singer thats any good you will win American Idol with flying colors. Keep in mind Carrie Underwood had some awful performances on AI but never hit the bottom 3, why? Because the audience recognized her as a country pop star and voted accordingly. Alaina has the same thing going for her. Toscano, Durbin and Abrams are superb but neither of them have the mass appeal that Lauren Alaina has (in terms of getting votes on AI)
