As a friend of these dudes, the religious content stems from the bands brothers growing up in a deeply Christian environment. It's less making fun of Christianity than it is an expression of coming to terms with the poisonous upbringing.

Alright to answer the questions about whether this is a "religious" song/band, theres not really a yes or no answer.

One certain thing is that the whole album is a story about the end of the world. But the songs represent various views on how/why it'll happen. They kind of take a story and morph it into they're own (kind of like mocking or reinventing it)

So with "pwned", it does just that. If you read up on it a little, they say they get it from the book of revelations and put a twist on it.

Maybe research the band and the background a little or listen to the rest of the album. Consider this song a piece of a puzzle if you will. Once you understand that, things will make much more sense. A couple even said it was delivered in the form of xtian evangelist. This is exactly what I said. I never even offered an interpretation.
