Don't hate me but its funny that Taylor strums here guitar and keeps her hand one 1 note virtually during the whole peform, almost no chord changes.... I keep thinking for such a superstar who "writes" so many hooky, well-crafted songs how come she can't play more than 2 notes during the whole song? Wonder if she really writes the songs the way the media portrays... just a thought - any comments?

@morgan101967 I already saw 4 chords near the beginning of the song (think they D, A, C, and G - I could be wrong)... keep in mind that a lot of chords can be played with minimal hand motion.

She is officially credited with songs she writes; It isn't just media portrayal.

I really like this better than Neon Moon by Carrie b/c although her voice was amazing the performance put me to sleep. @MultiDisneyMania I actually think this is Taylor BEST live performance ever.. her voice sounds stronger, deeper than ever..??? but I believe it was back-tracked or "added" vocals since if you look at 1:37 she hits a great note, then abruptly flips her head back away from mike TOO SOON... her voice and head/mike do not match & confirms she was singing over a track.. his is why she never sounded better.. sorry guys, great cover but she is cheating vocally... unlike Carrie, Reba, Faith...

@morgan101967 Interesting points, though I did go back and look at 1:37 , and it seems to me that the audio/visual synchronization is a bit off. I noticed prior to 1:37 that the audio seemed a fraction of a second off from the video. Could it be possible that this, in conjunction with the video quality being poor to begin with, accounted for what you are seeing? I'm no expert here, but that's just how it came across to me.

@morgan101967 Well, if you have it taped on dvr, there's not much I can say.My concerns with your comments stemmed from the fact that youtube videos aren't reliable for this sort of analysis.However,a recording like that certainly is(I don't have dvr,but I assume it's television quality).Since I don't have access to such a recording,I have to concede on this one.That's disappointing that it isn't all Taylor on this track, b/c you're right to say that this is her best (I've seen ALL of them).

I'd say they're both great role models...but Taylor is my role model simply because she's younger and her songs are all relatable to young girls. Like "Fifteen", "The Outside", and "You Belong With Me". Carrie Underwood has a killer voice, she just does more adult stuff (ahem...Cowboy Casanova video) and doesn't focus as much on connecting with her fans through Facebook and stuff. This is probably Taylor's best live vocal ever.. she sounds decent and is having fun -- BUT let's not forget Carrie's incredible NEON MOON, possbily her best pure country vocal ever.. and maybe the best pure country female live vocal ever !! She hit those notes perfectly, so pure, so powerful. ** Some say Taylor's voice was enhanced by a live TRACK behind her... its probably true since she's never, ever sounded this good -- esp. the "ooh ooh" chorus... she's obviously lip syncing... :-(
