  • Shares many components as the current Opel Astra 1.4T in europe. Look at this vid for example:

  • Hmm the size is right, the use of the big badge is always a bit like the "The bigger we make the badge the better people will think the car is" which is the direct opposite of what a big badge makes me think. A 1.4L turbo in Australian Summers? It's probably low boost so that's okay but being turbo that means more servicing and higher octane requirements and heat soak issues in summer. I think I'll prefer Naturally aspirated with clever cams or valve timing.

  • Built in Aus= more labor cost=less built in value.....

  • @beckenry Better than built in China.

  • does it have 5 yr warranty?

  • i have one and its a shitbox do not buy one

  • goes like a big six? An old commodore 3.8 VN more like it, good low end but no top end.

  • wont dvd thingy distract the driver !!!! hahah silly inventors =p

  • @ravikro012 No, it won't distract the driver because the screen only diplays the dvd when the car is stationary; when the car is in gear and starts driving the screen goes off. :)

  • I currently drive a golf gti mk6. This is definately a car I'd consider as a secondary car and also for the long trips down south or up north. I do however would like to know how reliable the car is in general.

  • Don't Holden make their own cars anymore? Hell- even the Commodore is a Pontiac G8 in drag!

  • @casmatori you have no idea what you are on about. the Pontiac g8 is a commodore and the commodore is Australian..typical American...

  • @holdenls1ssz Oh dear, that old chestnut. "Typical American" Lmao :D

  • the 1.4 turbo has no balls at all, and yes i have driven one. Dont fool yourself.

  • @h0wHigh12 its an economy turbo and engine, i have one they aint built for drifting or drag racing if your that retarted put a boost controller on it, mine gets more k's than the diesel model!!!!!

  • @HouseOfHorsePowerInc Do you have any issues in summer heat in traffic?

I wonder if the diesel engine would last longer?

  • @h0wHigh12 drive one that has been run in. My previous 2.2 Astra TS in manual felt like I was driving a 1.8 corolla with no balls, but after 15,000km it felt so much better..

  • Holden Series II Cruze SRi-V

  • lol - holdens are GM (chevrolet) cars .... manufactured in Aus

  • Unfortunately Holden have discontinued the Poison Ivy green (as shown in the video). I seem to be one of the lucky last who got an SRI-V in that colour.

  • @Aussieisbest94

Daewoo?? The Series II cruise is an Australian Built car. Get your facts right.

  • @juggy84 Yeah, this model is built in Oz, but the Series 1 was Korean born....no matter how you justify that it's built here now, the fac t remains it is still a Daewoo design comissioned by GM.

  • I'm going to live soon in Australia, so It's this a really cheap car or it is just publicity?

  • still more power than equivalent 90TSI Golf..

  • @assada power isn't everything, miles apart in driveability and quality. The VeeDub is miles ahead of this thing.......this would have to be a 300% improvement over the last POS to be any good. Anyways, how much did they pay these guys who look like the only time they have anything to dod with a vehicle is sitting on the bus from the CBD to their appartment in inner Melb/Syd........."Goes like a big 6"????WTF HAHA

  • @Ansett76

Miles apart in Driveability??? Have you driven the 1.4 iTi turbo?? I'm guessing not judging by your comments. This thing is MILES better then the Series I cruise. Interior quality EASILY holds up to the Veedub standards, Engine is just as good, if not better AND the servicing costs are MUCH LESS.

I can honestly say that they surprised the hell out of me when i took the SRi for a drive. They really do feel like you are driving a Big 6.

  • @CommodoreWog Yes using a Dual Clutch system which is usually computer controlled. You seem awfully defensive. That's great you've worked in a pit crew, we're they driving small 4cylinders? No.

You teach the subject? Well you might wanna come up with a better username than CommodoreWog.

Interesting fact for you, manuals take off much faster than an auto, use your skills in the subject to know that starting acceleration is the most important thing.

  • @Kage6100 just to let you know, it's were not we're.

  • @TravvyG it may not come in auto

  • I'm in love with this car. If only I could afford one. :(

  • The SRI has the same amount of power as a 2.2 vectra B 104kw and 200nm of torque

  • LOL look forward to getting my set of keys to one :D

  • Holden its my Birthday soon.. hmmm really would like a Blue SRi-V Petrol Auto :)

  • @TravvyG Turbo + Auto = fail

  • @Kage6100 Why?

  • @TravvyG because you cant control the revs. and manual is better anyways for smaller engines.

  • @Kage6100 yeah but im lazy lol

  • @TravvyG if your too lazy to change gear you shouldnt be driving. youll end up getting to lazy to turn the wheel.

  • @Kage6100 , Youve just proven how unintelligent you really are with your stupid comment. Autos are quicker. Fact.

  • @CommodoreWog Don't agree.... too much slippage.... its why Auto's are never used in racecars, also they get too hot and lose even more efficiency
