Hi folks. I've been trying to post comments on the Fox News website. It will let me post one comment. Then when people respond to my comment, I cant respond back. Its as if Fox wants me to open a debate but it wont let me articulate further (a bit like how Hannity acts on his show). I was just wondering if anyone else out there knows what the Fox News policy was about bloggers that are independent thinkers. In defense of Fox News there have been several different versions of the healthcare reform bill until a final form was finally accepted by the Senate and the House of Representatives, in March...I do believe. It'd be quite hard to assess which version exactly each one of those clips is specifically referring to. @rodbuzz They put in the mandate, but in the bill it forbids the IRS from enforcing it. The IRS cannot fine, jail, or impose any sanctions against anybody who does not buy insurance. So basically the mandate is not enforceable. So it was put in as a token gesture only. Read the bill and find the truth for yourself.

Isn’t it completely ironic that the date that Oreily said that it was not yet a threat, yet when Beck said it, it was the truth. There are/were punitive measures written into the law that could have incarcerated citizens for failure to comply with the law. However, this somehow equates to a lie when it was the truth when Oreily said what he said, and it was the truth when Beck said what he said. And Nancy Pelosi still doesn’t know what’s in it, even after they passed it. Interesting.

People clamor "news" about O'reilly, Hannity, Beck. They are OPINION shows, not news. Just as Olberman does on msnbc. You can look up some media matters "faux paus" moments on him also. The only difference of the two is Fox has democrats on for opposing views quite a bit. I think msnbc had a Republican on in, uh, uh, uh, uh ..i think november. I am an independant, voted for a fiscal conservative democrat for congress, and i mostly watch fox because they have heated debates, R vs. D. msnbc dont.

His show is strictly satirical so it doesn't matter if he makes incorrect accusations because its not meant to be serious, its allusive. Its as if Fox wants me to open a debate but it wont let me articulate further (a bit like how Hannity acts on his show). In defense of Fox News there have been several different versions of the healthcare reform bill until a final form was finally accepted by the Senate and the House of Representatives, in March...I do believe. It'd be quite hard to assess which version exactly each one of those clips is specifically referring to. And I apologize, but you cannot discredit an entire news organization with a 1:21 clip, and to claim such is overwhelmingly ridiculous. I do, however, respectfully commend your gumption.

@rodbuzz They put in the mandate, but in the bill it forbids the IRS from enforcing it. The IRS cannot fine, jail, or impose any sanctions against anybody who does not buy insurance. So basically the mandate is not enforceable. So it was put in as a token gesture only. Read the bill and find the truth for yourself.

What state allows that? Not a single one. Stop attaching the expression "goverment takeover" to everything. I can tell that you grew up covered by your parents' insurance and now have a job that is at least good enough to cover you so you probably work for a company with several hundred people. so sheltered.

Anthony, I do believe you failed. Did you not notice that the Beck clips were from a year and a half ago. Did you also fail to note that the health bill has changed several times from that time period. The old bill probably did have jail time but it was dropped and now it's a several thousand dollar fine.
