I attended a panel discussion where H. Rachofsky explained that his focus in collecting was centered around art that was an exploration of the "self". That explains many of the Tom Friedman pieces and allows a tourist of his collection to see the "thread". I was able to understand more about the pieces indivdually after knowing the collection.
