@MrPlaid81 Thats why you should go to your nearest class or take a backpacking trip to Toronto. I just did that and once you are on the mat you get to understand all those subtle "weird" movements... The best to you...

@brozac1011 I just came from Toronto, was at Vlads school... I have been with dvds for 2 yrs. The answer is really depends on your awareness... personally I understood the knowledge of being relax, but things change once you are getting hit or doing a drill or movement... You really digest the feeling... and everything really makes sense...

@brozac1011 That's a good question i think some arts yes u could to a degree systema is differn't for each student because there are no rules in systema you create the techniques.

Relative to speed and the ongoing criticism's of work shown so you can see it and potentially understand it.

Train slow to learn how to do it well at speed.

Train fast all the time and you will be sloppy all the time.

Train slow all the time, you will not understand what will happen at speed.

who knows you may end up with a enough people to get a highly trained systema intructor to visit you but really there is a lot of systema teachers in America and Montreal is not far from you.I hear Vald's classes in Canada are actually very affordable
