In 2009 I helped welcome the JSDF at their visit here. What a great bunch of human beings! It was an honor to have them as our guests here at CFB Comox, British Columbia, Canada, I was even given a blue JSDF shirt (a kamono?) I gave my squadron hat in return to the tech I sat with (and had saki with), and when I marshalled their P3 away at the end of their visit, he was in front of his pilot waving to me in the front window! haha. WONDERFUL PEOPLE!!!! :)

Lets be realistic about Japan vs. China. Its the 21st century. Wars are not won by charging with millions of peasants armed with Kalashnikovs in green mao suits. That worked in the middle of the 20th century. Judging by the advanced and very well-trained Japanese military compared with the poorly trained and pathetically backward mainland Chinese army, I'd say the kill ratio between planes would be 10-1, ground forces 5-1, and ships 3-1. I'm being realistic here.
