@2003SCT: I agree with Athena. I don't completely buy the claims of CST (although, as I have not yet gone through a CST session - I will when I am back in the States) EVEN IF all she was doing was relaxing someone, that would STILL have a greater effect on the body that just washing your face. The mind, how it reacts to things and how calm the person becomes, has a massive physical effect. Ever watched a Buddhist monk meditate?
I'm thinking that Athena may have meant to say "in vivo"..."within the living organism" which is essentially the opposite of "in vitro" (which by the way, does not necessarily always mean "in glass" In Vivo-"...made to occur outside the living organism in an artificial environment...) ***Judge not lest Ye be judged***
I like the sound of the bowls. I've heard about sound & vibrations being used in healing, & not just recently but for thousands of years. There are sound tables that are used for healing too. Quite fascinating actually. Thank you Athena. Very enjoyable. :o)
why this compulsion to make it sound scientific? she just reveals how uneducated she is (and if she didn't blab, she would present herself as what she is: an excellent massage therapist). "When we are in vitro, when we are embryos" - "in vitro" literally means "in glass" - e.g. in a test tube... And all this BS about how she is moving the bones... Ludicrous!
@NecatorNimrod I think she is good at what she does. A lot of real medicine is based on trust and belief in what the doctor says. You'd be surpised how little doctors know of the science behind medicine but one trick they have learned is you can't let patients know you don't know. I think a lot of people suffer from minor neurosis that just basically benefits from a hug or touch and someone to listen to them like she does
@titarse100 You are so right! she is amazing! I got goosebumps watching this... And you are right in saying that just believing that something will help - helps (aka placebo effect, which is really potent). All I was saying is that she possesses magic - so there really is no need for her to classify what she does as "scientific". It is not. Science is evidence-based. So what she does is NOT scientific - but it doesn't make it any less potent.
@NecatorNimrod Yeah, if this "5 gram pressure" is making tons of changes ...then so is: sleeping on a pillow, wearing headphones, wearing a winter hat etc. All of those things would be "moving the bones around" all the time. The lymphatic drainage videos are much the same..the touch is so light that washing your face or putting lotion on your body would be the applied pressure equivalent. The only positive effect from this is the relaxing massage, human touch and a calm voice...nothing more.
@2003SCT Not so. When people come in with a cane and leave walking without it is not something I have seen by washing your face. You may wish to study subtle anatomy before you make remarks that you have no knowledge about. The subtle structures are significant, and very misunderstood. All this work has a very definite protocol, something applying lotion won't produce. A.
@yoursilly100 How about YOU give me cranial sacral massage twice a month? Then I will give you cranial sacral massage twice a month. You can help me change my mind. :)
Question Athena, the bowl part at the end, what exactly does that do? Could it harm the eardrum? I'm unfamiliar with the CS process, is this part of it? Thanks, great vid :)

@NecatorNimrod she might just be moving cartilage or the muscles around it, but she shouldnt refer to it as moving the bone.

@NecatorNimrod Yeah, I think she meant "In Utero"...but I could be wrong.

How would you describe the sound those bowls make? A vibrating sound, or ringing? I'm really curious to hear some more; it's really therapeutic.
