I've had all the 5 series 530 models and i can tell you that no one disappointed me, there are no cheap plastics,no crap suspension,not one low quality electrics and electronics and not a single problem. Well Back in 85 i had an E300D from Mercedes. Cracked cilinder head after only 430 ks. Just out of garage. It happens. It is no reason to say Mercedes is SHIT. I had a lot of FORD V6 back in SA. 3.0L v6 motors. All fantastic. One, the 3,0S gave me so much shit i had to sell it fater 6 months, Still i think Ford makes good cars. I have had problems with VW, namely passat, and had great moments on Golfs, I have had shit on Opel Vectras, nothing on Astras. Such is Life. My 530D e39 Is just GREAT

@kentau123 Actually, I must agree with the interior, i do hate the crappy materials in the dashboards, but as for the electronics, my father has a BMW 5 Series SW, and he has NOT had one single problem with the electronics, not one, my father has had several BMW's and in a few cases the most that had to be changed would be a bulb, I'm hopefully getting a BMW 5 Series in 2011, i wouldn't agree with you about the electronics, as far as i have seen they are very durable,
