  • 3 steps, IM NOT DONNIE YET!

  • Ok, A bit softer than I normally like, but decent.

  • Had no clue there were from ATL. Reppin'

  • @Mistab784 yeah they are the bass player is my father

  • My old bass player is donnies lil brother. I still remember when he brought me my first double drive album. I loved every song. And then I got "blue in the face" before it was released and like the first album "thousand yard stare" I lo ed every song. In fact my basist help donnie write imprint. It was crazy to hear it evolve into the awesome song that it now is.

  • I agree with all Excellent band I don't know why its so hard to get along . Come on guys we R only here once Double Drive make us some new music I'm just saying.

  • First time listening to them!

Thank you Shannon Leto! These guys are unreal! =D

  • Check out the videos for Still Rain...Donnie was lead singer also the band had Clint and Corey Lowery Troy McLawhorn and Bevin Davies.

  • Just maybe the most ' should have been ' band ever... they were great, and i really miss 'em. They deserve so much more than they ever got.

  • best song ever !

  • i absolutely love them and i wish that they still kept it on!

  • I very recently heard of these guys; I can't believe I've been so unaware of such an amazing band. They are truly one of the best I've heard, and quite possibly the best i've heard of this genre.

  • today is the first time i heard of this band

    i think they are awesome

  • @3doorsdown6 same here buddy!

  • this is probably my fav song in the last 10 years. I even remember when I first heard it on the radio- Feb '03

Pretty sure I remember hearing this song was about their tour manager who was dying of cancer

  • Actually, the program director of an Orlando rock station during the the 90'sloved up an coming bands, such as Creed, Matchbox 20, Finger 11, Virgos Merrlot etc, but Doubledrive was a favorite for him, from what I heard, and he wrote the lyrics of this song before he died of cancer

  • very christian

  • Too Much Tallent for one band maybe? Lets see Donnie is now forming a new band Violent Plan. Guitarest is now playing for Seether. Base Guitar and drummer now playing with Speed X. At any rate DD was indeed a kick ass band.

Together they were awesume as individuals the jury is still out not enough material out to decide yet . Maybe someday they will do a reunion tour.

  • love this songg.(:

  • doubledrive is one of the best bands ever and they need to get back together. i dont know how someone makes music this good and then just calls it quits. did they even listen to their own albums. im just bitching though cause they were such a great band and its a damn shame what happened

  • @harmansmith84 Well, the guitarist is now with Seether, the drummer owns his own studio, and the singer directs music video for other bands (Sevendust, most notably), so I don't see much hope of them reuniting. :/ Sad day.

  • @IAmTheOddity the drummer is now with BLS or Black Label society and the gituarist left seether.

  • @harmansmith84 i agree

  • donnie and some members from still rain are forming a new band called Violent Plan! check them out on myspace

  • I miss them...

  • double drive was an awsome band and their guitar player troy is now the guitar player in seether.

  • These os frikin raawwk!!!!!

  • Its time to move on down the road...

  • Rockin'!

  • These guys were so good. Donnie We miss you!!!!

  • Oh man! I met these guys back in 2001 when they opened for Tesla..They are the best..We were backstage hanging and we had a few kids in our group, these guys were so sweet and, just nice.. Just a great band and I asked for this CD for my B-day when it came out..and I have it...

  • Man, I seen them perform this song live..it was so fucking cool. :D Nice guys, too.

  • Last year me and some other teens from my church

used this song and did a pantomime to it. It ended up coming in first place through a competition that we do through our church.

  • I love Double Drive!

Does anyone know what that song that goes like " and did you crucify yourself "... whats the name of that song??? HELP ME SOMEONE!!!

  • It's "Hell" from the 1000 Yard Stare album.

  • where did these guys go hey?this was such a special song for me and the girl i was dating when it was released. i was amazed when i found out the story behind it.

  • not sure about the rest of the band, the lead guitarist formed a band called Dark New Day with 4 other well known musicians. He also has been playing with Evanesance on this past family values tour.

  • i wish these guys were still together.... what a fkn shame!!!!!!!

  • Mike Froedge hits harder than any drummer in the free world.

  • Awesome band live! Saw them in Carbondale, IL at the Copper Dragon. Phenominal band! Amazing song!

  • The lead singer Donnie and guitarist Troy McLawhorn jammed in Still Rain, another great band. I would love to find some video from doubleDrive '1000 Yard Stare' days.
