  • People, if you want to live longer, start exercising, eat healthy, don't get stressed and remember that bananas are your friend.

It takes hard work to survive with B.P.

  • Wow I love this video. Informative, clear and educational. Thnx

  • This video will save many lives! Thank you for posting it! I will refer as many people as possible to this video!

  • i'm 21 year old and i've been diagnosed with HBP. My blood pressure readings are 150/85 on average. I don't know what to do or where to start. I've been under chronic stress, anxiety, rage addiction and have been binging on fast food.

  • any one still alive here?

  • im scared now, i can die any minute now.

  • @lachikibaby03 ya i gotta lay off the burgers :(

  • god were all fucked. lol

  • @Slapnuts6931 ha ha, now that is what i called spirit..... lolz

  • iam 16 and i have 140/90

  • @MauricioARG13 same here well im 14

  • Eat your vegetables people.

  • Lose weight, be w/in 10lbs of your ideal weight, get on statins and ace inhibitors, eat lots of fish, no red meats, lots of fruit, vegetables, NO SALT, no canned foods , salt intake at less than 1500mg/day. exercise, walk, run, swim , be active, if you choose not to do this,,,, start planning your will, trust and shop for a good funeral home, cremation or coffin service, heart disease moves quickly and kills w./out symptoms

  • I am 33 and have had a head ache for 5 days. I can't get a good deep breathe sometimes and my left eye hurts. I keep thinking it is sinuses since my nose has been stuffy. My cheeks are flushed and I am irritable. Took my BP and it is 133/92. My norm has always been 120/80. I have no health insurance right now and am a bit nervous...

  • I have been taking MENS 1 A DAY vitamins in addition to my bp meds for 2 weeks now and my bp is 138/97. Still high but its great considering it is normally in the 180/110 range on prescription meds. I dont eat right or exercise so once start excercising and diet my bp should get much better, maybe normal.

  • Advantage is The Film & Animation make it easy and clear to learn and to understand. This short film include the animations to show how exactly hypertension cause problems to the body.

The only disadvantage is it show the pictures and animations to explain the rationales of how if affect the body, it also should provide a little more information as signs and symptoms patient need to come to doctors.

  • @hesss333 That is another one of the scary things about HBP. Doctors say there are 'no' signs or symptoms. So one may be having having HBP and not know it for months and years unless.... one gets it checked. Reason why it is called the silent killer. I guess when it gets too high, it will show some symptom.

We are planning on a video that encompasses all the facets of this disease and not just "effects of high blood pressure. Thank you for your feedback.

  • I've like had a lot of sewer food lately, mean fastfood, and sodas. My blood pressure was taken at the dentists and it was up up and away, like 165. I'm worried, but I have torouble eating better since its hard to get to the preparation of the meals for me.

  • Just turned 21 and have ridiculously high blood pressure (150/100) for someone my age. The other day I had a few drinks and my kidneys started spasming, which was freaky as hell, so I decided to do something about it. I've heard that there's a link with sodium, and when I think about it, all I eat are things with sodium. I've decided to try the DASH diet for a couple of weeks to see how it goes. Does anyone have personal experience with the DASH diet?

  • @foofighter1337 DASH is really good stuff to Naturally replace Salt . Salt helps us salivate when eating but too bad it doesn't stop at the tongue . Mrs DASH seasoning has citric acid and lemon juice powder to help with us salivate instead of table salt . I've found that vinegar or vinegar powder are great subs for sodium , sometimes add a little seasalt to the mix .

  • I would have thought hardening and blocking of the arteries is a cause of high blood pressure, not a symptom of it.

  • my blood pressure reading was 135/95. That is high for my age 41. I have been slightly dizzy lately. I don't have insurance and no doctor. But this happened at work. So maybe the stress of work caused this. Normally I am 121/30. This is usually my reading.

  • scary stuff

  • for me it feels like the heart arent beating at the same levels, changes from 100 to 160 (ca) all the time, like up n down, up n down. and some beats, hits hard to the chest to. Feeling dizzy at times, got a bit blurry view, whats this?

had it for a while, use to go away after some days or week, but comes back.

i dont think i suffer Cronic HBP, not often above 180.

  • @Blazestalker100 those can be symptoms of HTN (hypertension). Normal BP is 120/60...but most medical professionals recognize high blood pressure parameters as anything greater than 130/80....it's wise to keep a good eye on this. Get your BP checked and keep written records of it to share with your medical provider.

  • There is a very effective fix for high blood pressure (without taking expensive and ongoing meds), and that is using cayenne pepper. Create your own using vege capsules (you can get these online everywhere), place the cayenne pepper inside and take a couple per day.

  • @DarrylJonesHealth yeah so i wondered if that works do you have to use pills to get the cayenne into your blood stream or is that just so you dont have to chug a bunch of cayenne? also will snorting it work. it burns the nose but it is an effective way of clearing a stuffed up nose or so i've heard. one of my friends tried it. please answer all my questions and thank you.

  • Got blood presshure here too 138/82 and I am 20 years old. Heart and kidneys are in perfect condition, docotrs can't find ANYTHING wrong that could cause it. Sucks that I have to live with pill for the rest of my life unless something comes up. 138/82 is pretty much a handicaped person whose physical capabilities are reduced to 20-25% Very BIG difference. Oh and no smoking, drinking, no extra weight or anything although stressful life overall. Relax ppl and eat well and stay fit or else...

  • @Desolator1 same here except im only 17. so um did you evertake supplements like creatine or protein supplements that have glutamic acid in them. because i have and I think that's what caused it. cus i looked it up and it says creatine can cause it and so can glutamic acid if it turns into glutamate.

  • @Desolator1 where did you get 138/82 being handicapped person?

    please explain?

    Thats normal blood pressure.

  • I've had HBP for about 9 years now, though my kidneys are perfect. But a few months ago my heart beat so hard it kept me awake 24/7,after 3 days of fear and denial I went to the Doc and had a BP of like 210/115 !!! Yep,I was laid down and pumped full of the heavy stuff, praise God.On the good medsnow but heartbeat still annoys if I eat too much salt.I'm losing the weight to get rid of my HBP.I'm in my mid 20's/tall and muscular, sadly that gut I carry so well is just too much,so off it goes.

  • FatherFlanigan,

I thought I was reading my own story when I read your comment. Thank you for posting it.

I need to change too. :-)

    Joe

  • I also am suffering high blood pressure. Therefore I would recommend a natural medicine: to take garlic e. g. in form of tablets oder capsules - very good!

  • @refohtiew am 21 and i have a high blood pressure to, am gonna start treatment soon, how does garlic help?

  • no i do everything right great vegan can run a marathon 48 no smoke drink a lil coffee 140/170 and waiten for old man stroke anyday muhahahahahaha

  • I'm 32 BP ttoday was 155/105 (avg 3 readings). Healthy weight, non smoker, hardly drink, fairly good diet BUT stressful job, single & depressed. Better get my shit together.

  • Great video, Great in understanding... HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT, EXCELLENT

  • logistix11111 is uttery terribly right drink water, exercise, stop using salt, apart from that stop eating redmeat, avoid crowdy and noisy places, stop arguing afterall we are only two day guests on earth, keep the cool and just make sure I will be quiet whatever the world may end.

  • thats not bad i had 170/ 140 today im fukd

  • Try taking dairy out of your diet, use soy milk. That is what i did, well, because I'm lactose intolerant too. But the cholesterol/calcium causes plaque and dairy is full of it. The good news is that soy tastes really good now, try the almond flavored milk .. :) But diet is only one thing you can change, other factors are genetics (can't change) and exercise (can change) Best of luck!

  • bp today was 146 over 102 i was told its high for only being 21 i was shocked when i was told this so i set up a appointment to see my doctor tommorow looks like tailgateing is over no more grilling for awhile unless its chicken

  • Yes, that is very high . Normal range should be 120/80. Especially the systolic number... Reduce salt intake...

  • I was found to have a BP of 170 over 110 as a result of a medical examination for a visa. I'm only 25 and according to the doctor, most common reason is my family history of hypertension and also my lifestyle such as lack of sleep, working night shifts and stress at work. Better do something before I damage my kidneys. Damn it's too young to die. hehe

  • @naughtyboyya i feel ya i am 21 and have a high blood pressure too

  • @UTubeJabZz Im in the boat at 25, blood pressure starting from when i was 24.

Would love to talk to all of you more about this, msg me back

  • That is pretty high bp, especially the 102

  • I have high bp thanks to lupus. Damn.

  • My solution is DIET DIET DIET

  • Great video, very helpful!

  • I was diagnosed with high blood pressure last August and was having great difficulty getting it lowered. Searching the net I came upon Levodyn and decided to try it. I started out taking two tablets twice a day, and now I take one tablet twice a day a little before my lunch and dinner. With the added help of diet and exercise I am delighted that my blood pressure has come down dramatically. At it's worst it was in the 180/90 range but today it is 123/72.

  • I started taking Levodyn because i was keen to bring my blood pressure down without resorting to prescription medicine. i have been taking it for less than 4 weeks but have already noticed a change. Before taking Levodyn my blood pressure was 152/86, it is now 128/76. i am really impressed.

  • High Blood is have been my frequent problem in the last 8 years, but since i started taking it, every thing went normal, i feel great.

  • I've been having high blood pressure since i was 33 and i am happy that i have known Levodyn and tried it, i am having good blood pressure now that i am 45.

  • i had some 24 hrs BP test, Had like 50 BP took that day and the average came out 139/89, just at the limit, tho i had 115/70 but 150/94 too.Being a teenager the doctor said i dont need medicines yet but i must stop consuming Fast Foods,Coca,Coffee and alcohol.I did this and now i have a 125/85 average.I'll visit my doctor again this month and he will tell me if i really have high BP or its just the puberty ;)

  • I got my blood pressure under control by eating right and doing low impact exercise so that I wouldn't get shin splints lost about 3 lbs a week doing that so after 6 months I'd lost 72 lbs u know what to do its just a matter of doing it its only hard if u make it hard

  • People think they all that, but our bodies are delicate and we need to take care of us!

  • WOW!

I think I will stop eating meat now.

  • ive had high blood pressure these past two times ive visited the doc & im only 17. can stress be the problem here?

  • yes and headacks to

  • excellent!

  • any help on how to lower the high bp

  • drink water all day long and stop using salt on everything and exercise

  • actually, your body does require natrium, however not more than approximately 3000 mg, problem is that some people get around 10.000 mg per day of natrium.

Also, kalium intake should be upgraded. You can achieve this by eating bananas, and raisins for example...pretty cheap sources of kalium (potassium)

  • @ebateru Hi I read somewhere that there is a link between low calcium intake, and sensitivity to sodium (natrium). Personally I think sodium requirements should be adjusted for summer/winter and high exercise/low exercise..

Sheila inspires others to take control of their health despite living with a chronic illnesses. She teaches how we must take control of our health! Hypertension and diabetes are very serious- so taking control is a must! You are worth it! Great job! Thank you!
