it is cool to know the actual words, whilst Elizabeth rarely revealed

the lyrics to her songs,you could try Googling the Cocteau Twins Forum,

they may have some of the lyrics to certain songs, also some fans also

have an idea of the words, Sorry I cant help, but Im certain someone out

@shum65 Excellent video, Dave! I must have owned a copy of TMATM on both cassette and vinyl on 2 or different occasions & listened to it about a thousand or so times. It makes sense 2 compare it 2 Victorialand since it came out the same year (at least I thought...'86). It was also the first time I was introduced to Harold Budd who I always thought complimented them nicely (as well as Brian Eno's ambient work). It's great that you're introducing it to people that may have never heard them.

Victorialand was another groundbreaking album, filled with lots

of dreamy gems..T.M.A.T.M was my first introduction to the amazing

Harold Budd too, love his work with John Fox so atmospheric.

@shum65 I'll have to sample some of his stuff (John Fox). I assume he's in the Eno, Frip, Budd, michael brooks, Steve Roach side of the spectrum? I don't have enough ambient stuff to be honest. I do the downloading thing, which is risky, but I have been pretty broke for a while now, so I haven't been able to buy stuff lately. I miss the old days when I'd go to the import record stores and just stroll around for a few hours adding things to my wish list. Those were good times.

@shum65 Happy weekend 2 U 2, sir. Now I just feel stupid! I've heard some early Ultravox stuff, pretty good stuff. I should have known that bit of info by now. I was N2 Chris & Cosey, Japan, cabaret voltaire, clck dva,..but I always knew who Ultravox was, I just never bought any of their stuff, It wasn't really until later that I heard more than just a few of their songs. Lisa Gerrard has her own youtube channel, pretty cool! As w/ the Cocteaus, I still bleed Dead Can Dance.

Yeah, I just moved, so trying to get situated so I can find a job and start working on my own music again (just a side hobby). This is really good Shum. I use to live overseas until 2001 in Southport, UK. The hype for the Cocteau Twins was much greater over there than here. I have brought them up here and people don't know what I am talking about everytime haha. Cocteau Twins, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine are my favorite bands.. I just wish that one day people will start doing Ethereal Pop, Dream Pop, and of course the music I live by: Shoegaze. Music is just different now ya know?

I thought of you today, shum, as I was in the middle of the chore of dusting my collection of little toys, odds & ends, frippery and, as an old Friend used to call them in Yiddish, chatchkes and chazerai, most of which I have on display on the walls in old printer's drawers. Anyway, I came across a vintage '60's Pez candy dispenser of a hand holding an eyeball and my mind wandered to that image in your vid. Then I had coffee, having decided to put off dusting for another time, like next year!
