  • This is ridiculous. I was convinced the first second of the video until i saw the crappy acting job of the stuntmen.

  • The world makes sence to me now

  • I would like to see this work once on a complete stranger.

  • @gfol70 why do we assume that someone must have superman powers? GM is just demonstrating what he CAN do and that includes using his own attackers as part of the demonstration. Whenever, any of us, do anything, we ALWAYS control the variables! Otherwise the situation will be chaotic like a baby learning to walk, and maybe not produce results. Maybe even dangerous. Who has claimed anywhere, that this works every time and on everything. And finally if it did "work once on a complete stranger." ???

  • Lame!

  • For people interested in talking sense to people; look at the "attacker's" feet, he is purposefully unbalancing himself at just the right moment, it is the scream that tips him off so he can time it.

  • omg after Witnessing that i know there isnt a such thing because the people stop them self after that guy thrusts likeAsmoDous666Hades said and they like fall back on there own thats pretty much what it looks like

  • haiiz...they were those epic fails in chinese dramas

  • horse tits this is not real i wish it was i wanna do a kamehameha wave just as bad as the next guy but damn

  • @TeamPandora the fantasy stuff you see in DBZ is an ultra exagerated Ling Kong Jing. In Chinese legend, Nei Jia (internal arts) experts could only push a person, but, Japanese manga artist Akira Toriyama took it a step further by making up aliens who could blow up planets with their "ling kong jing." Yeah, this is probably a parlor trick.

  • this is the most lame-ass shit i've ever seen...

  • Comment removed

  • i would LOVE to meet a kiai master

  • loollololoolloloololol

  • those kooky azns

  • You can see the guy who is attacking stop himself as his body starts to stop a few seconds AFTER the thrust, no matter how close he is. I'd say it's suggestive form, a kind of hypnotism.

  • @Asmodous666hades yeah man its because he is one of his students it wouldnt work on a regular person

  • It is real.

  • The slow motion was extemely funny....hahaha...

  • All BS

  • its real are u stupid? its focused on chi power

  • Actually no. I used to train with a "Hypnotist" who did this and was PROVEN to be a phony by the "Amazing Randi". If this guy is for real let him prove it. He's BS. No such thing as "Chi Power" like this. Chi power is only connections from bone to ligament etc. I trained under a guy from Paul Dong (Empty Force)

  • You trained under paul dong? I have read before his books...and he also has the ling kong jing power too, as described in his book. He can make people bounce up and down, and throw them over the ground w/o touching them. It resembles the one as seen in youtube videos, of that Lama...who can use ling kong jing too! So after u seen paul dong, is his ling kong jing real? =)

  • No......He is a Hypnotist who does all this either unknowingly or knowingly using Hypnosis. It was all proven false by the Amazing Randi. Look up Richard Mooney on the net to find out why he's not teaching Qigong anymore. Or why Tom Muncy and Rick Moneymaker don't support this crap anymore.

  • Erm, i can't find much abt those guys that u mention. What happened to them...were they hoax and conman too? And was paul dong exposed by randi?

  • 為什麼要騙人呢?

  • yeah. that's what we're all asking...

  • it's real.....you don't know? lol

  • .........i am 1 of his student this association is in singapore.... n i can tell u the taiji demonstration is authentic

  • this man is fake they are jumping for their own:)

  • Another nit!

  • panicpgh, i think you are mistaken. sim pooh ho does not say projecting qi without touching opponent is impossible. and he IS reluctant about demonstrating. he only did 2 public lkj demo and 1 semi-public in these 2 years, even tho he achieved lkj 10 years ago. the other video were in pte with stdnts, and its the stdnts who posted the vids. He doesnt even use the computer. i think there some misunderstnading here :)

  • Hbchee: How much and deep you know abut Taiji and where you get the story from?? Yang Lu Chan didnt killed the monk with LKJ.Go find out from your Sifu.

  • You can read it from the Tai-chi Magazine ( USA ).

  • The reasons why grand master Sim Pooh Ho willing to use the LKJ on his students because they have gone through the taijigong training to reach a high level which their bodies are soft to let LKJ power topass through their bodies.

The shaolin monk who was accidentally killed by Yang Lu Chan by his LKJ because the former used the technique called "Jia Jin Shui" . He stood rooted to the ground and received the LKJ power. He suffered internal injuries.

  • anybody know in nam wah pai have a guy call roger ??

  • well said Qigong88a99.

  • Are Sim Poh huat and Sim Pooh Ho related?

I'm thinking, if ling kong jing is only effective against attackers, does that mean it'll fail against accidental hits?

Like an enemy charging at him with a knife, then suddenly trip, and the knife fly in the air and hit him.

  • yes they r brother

  • you might as well ask if a martial arts expert can be killed in his sleep, or by a gun. Its not magic. i think yes lingkongjin can be used only aginst incoming force (defence), but that dont mean the master does not have other skills to go offensive.just not lkj.

  • Many of them were unconvinced that a Chinese qigong practitioner could hold his own against bigger wrestling opponents. And so, MrSim challenged them.

He rose to the occasion, clinching first place in a full contact sparring competition in New Zealand in 1986, and the Sydney multi-style wrestling competition in 1992. 'Westerners are gracious in defeat and give you respect after that,' he said.

  • Did he show you any concrete evident. Don't be gullible

  • With simple dog challenge him by yourself an stop barking. Your fouth coffin nail is on visible location within touch you knew where isit.

  • I'm the one who fight in sydney compotition 1992 ok

  • Striking out for fresh pastures overseas has never been easy. 'I have to prove myself continuously to the Westerners,' said MrSim.

  • QI WHIZZ He has 10,000 pupils worldwide

S'porean qigong grand master sparred with wrestlers to prove himself overseas

    By Eisen Teo

    June 01, 2007

  • HE was once set upon by a drunk man nearly twice his size when he was in New Zealand.

But qigong grand master, Mr Sim Poh Huat, 46, recalled the incident with a smile.

The founder of Nam Wah Pai Martial Arts said it happened in 1986, during a three-year teaching and sparring stint there.

He not only fended off the attack, but 'taught the drunkard a lesson', he said at his office-cum-training centre in Geylang.

  • Sylester134 Sim Poh Huat should be 21 yr old in 1986 and he was not even the instructor and he was learning from his brother.

  • Mr Sim Poh Huat was already teaching for quite some time before 1986. In the year 1986, he started teaching at the National University of Singapore. I still have the old brochures, photographs and competitions documents/materials with me. He is older than 21 in the year 1986.

  • Haha so the mad dog is barking at a wrong timing and this creature do not really know anything at all. Guessing or taking words from unfound sourcse. And forgot who really taught him before. And now merely putting words on his favor or so call it's benefactor who had shamely drag this creature along inorder to betray their teacher. And overturn their former teacher's head.

  • Pity real pity for this creature who had miserably survived for his three coffin nails. And had not learn anything but only barking and barking only. It's ancestor will shally turn their grave against this creature when this creature reunite with it's ancestor.

  • What exactly are you talking about. Some kind of poem or something?

  • He has a "Cum Training Center?" wow.

  • Isnt the founder of Nam Wah Pai Mr Sim Pooh Ho in 1964? Not Mr Sim Pooh Huat?

  • why does he need to prove himself against a drunkard, who probably cant balance himself?

I've read before GM Sim Pooh Ho saying that unless very necessary, dont use your martial skills. Wushu and taiji is inner cultivation, he said.

  • isnt the founder of Nam Wah Pai in 1964 Mr Sim Pooh Ho, instead of Mr Sim Poh Huat?

  • namwah37 (chinese)

  • tw video yahoo com/video/play 448032

  • I find this particular demo quite offensive, not just for the obvious reason that it is clearly fake, but also because Sim Pooh Ho has been interviewed in the latest issue if Tai Chi magazine (Vol 31#2) where he says that he DOES NOT claim to do what he is shown doing in this video because projecting Chi like this is impossible. I am quite torn about my Wu De towards him. Bothersome too, because he is a disciple of Wu Tunan, one of the most prestigious Tai Chi Chuan grandmasters (Wu style.)

  • My opinion of this video is that it is fake. Isn't it obvious that those monkeys were just jumping around on their own? What I don't know is if the person in the video really is Sim Pooh Ho or not.

  • yes he is sim poh ho last time he is singapore wush chair man

  • Singapore National Wushu Federation (SNWF) is the regulatory body of wushu, lion and dragon dance groups in Singapore. Sim Pooh Ho was never ever the chairman of SNWF nor was he the committee member. However, he was the founder and chairman of Singapore Martial Arts Instructors Association many years ago.

  • panicpgh, if I understand you correctly, you're saying this man is indeed Sim Pooh Ho and he amounts to admitting (in the Tai Chi magazine) that he bluff about his "skills" in the video? Essentially this guy is a con-artist? Pls correct me if i'm wrong...

btw, I just started learning Qigong from Nam Wah Pai one week ago... Now I have doubts if these guys are for real because their master is Sim Pooh Ho...

  • 1-------

Whether it is Sim Pooh Ho or not I do not know. That is a claim supposedly being made about this clip.

In his TaiChi magazine interview, Sim Pooh Ho said that he is very reluctant to make demonstrations, and that projecting Chi without touching the opponent is impossible. He also says that when he does do demonstrations, he uses only students of his because if he didn't he might truly injure people, something he does not want to do.

  • 2-------

When I take all that and contrast it with the contents of this video, things don't jibe. I have a lot of trouble with what Sim Pooh Ho said in his interview and what he does in the clip. If this is indeed Sim Pooh Ho in the video, then one can only conclude that he is a con artist that says one thing and does the exact opposite. Whether Chi can be projected or not then becomes immaterial.

  • With due respect, could he have been quoted out of context in the article?

  • That he was quoted out of context is always a possibility, however I doubt it since he explicitly states that projecting chi in the way depicted in this video clip is impossible. I'd like to suggest that you try and get a copy of the article and decide for yourself.

  • Thank you for the info. I'll check up the article.

  • r u poh huat son

  • No such luck. His brother, Sim Poh Kok, is my Sifu.

  • ok thanks

  • 3-------

Sim Pooh Ho does have the reputation of a great martial artist, but even such a person can begin to make outlandish claims. Witness the claims and actions of another great martial artist, Steven Seagal (clear example of saying one thing and doing the opposite.)

Only a few high-profile martial artists are fakes, or out to take one's money (McDojo's) In one's effort to find the "right" art to learn, one must see for oneself what the teacher actually teaches and preaches.

  • 4-------

One has to do their own weeding-out. I can't tell you if the Nam Wah Pai schools are any good. They well may be the real thing. One thing I'd recommend is that you read as much as you can about Qigong and see if that is also what they teach at your school. To find out if your teachers are legit is not a question you can find an answer to quickly by yourself.

  • 5-------

One important thing to consider is "lineage". If your teachers are verifiably who they say they are, and are "descended" from true masters, then it's a safe bet they are legit. Still, Sim Pooh Ho has a prestigious lineage (student of Wu Tunan), and yet...

  • 6-------

One thing I'd recommend, if you are a beginner, is that you first study a traditional Tai Chi Chuan style that souts you (one of the 5 styles - Yang, Chen, Wu, Wu/Hao or Sun) and then later on decide if you wish to learn Tai Chigong. Needless to say, you will still need to find out if your teacher is a good one, just the same as with any martial art.

  • Wu Tunan was pretty old when he accepted Pooh to be his student. What is his actual lineage?

  • -1 psykchosonik, this is what I know from his interview in Tai Chi Magazine and from a student of Tai Chi Gong (not his student!) It is a little sketchy, and I have to admit it is hard for me to know much about this since we are in different sides of the planet! Maybe his own students would be able to add (or correct?) this. I know some of them read this forum. He learned Chinese martial arts from his father at a very young age.

  • -2 When he was older and working (late teens?) he met Monk Long Ying and learned Shaolin kungfu and qigong from him. Sim Pooh Ho also knows taichi routines, Xingyi, Baqua, Wuqin Xi (5 Animals Play - another kind of qigong) Don't know who he learned these from. He founded Man Wah Pai back in 1964 at 17 years of age, and became a well established Martial Artist in the following decades. In 1978 he made contact with GM Wu Tunan who accepted him later as his student.

  • This is is totally absurd. LOL

    That is rubbish.

Since when humans have developed such strong internal energy?

    Dumb Shit...

  • Ppl like you who eat shit, spews shit!!

  • Surely, absolutely, obviously FAKE!

  • test

  • i bet you that that i can kick his ass

  • Ill like to See Grand Master Sim Pooh try this on a couple of Kyokushin guys....

  • You obviously never heard of JING or LING KONG JING as in EMPTY FORCE. The QI or CHI accumulated over time from meditation or stillness practice of QIGONG or NEIGONG used in healing and/or martial arts seen from Tai Chi Chuan, Bagua, Hsing-I and others....

The Western world are baffled with this ancient practice. People who are high in their YOGA can also do stuffs like these....

  • It looks like a bunch of guys just pretending to be knocked back. I need more proof then this sorry.

  • Why educate these ignoramuses? They are simply too dense to learn anything! When Nixon first witnessed an operation in China using only acupuncture to suppress pain, he was like these idiots, amazed and probably skeptical. Upon his return he summon his best talents and yet they can find anything nor explain them!!

  • Okay I feel stupid, but there is now way this is real is it?

  • ass-pee. god of facts and chi. what a great name to have. who pees on your ass?

  • Grand Master Sim Pooh Ho, the god-son and disciple of Taiji Master Wu Tu Nan is in Singapore for the WNWTGA Anniversary Dinner on 3 December 2006.

  • He was the emperor's bodyguard and nicknamed Yang Wu Di(INVINCIBLE YANG).He beat many candidates to earn that post.He decided to modify the tai chi into a more pratical style called yong jia(Applicable Style). This was what he used to fight. FromYang Lu Chan to his son to his grandson to Wu Tu Nan to this master. This is the pure lineage of this brach of tai chi.Any other questions pls ask me.

  • being a bodyguard is being someone's dog. why be a dog when u can be your own master

  • This is why only people who have attained a high level in qi manipulation can they be affected by ling kon jin. However, tai chi is not a skill that can only bash up some chinese people with knowledge of this qi.Against other opponents,a tai chi pratictioner will use the JIN level to engage his opponent. And asspeewy,ur knowledge of Yang Lu Chan is not accurate. He did not use ling kong jin to fight other opponents,he only used it once.

  • it is a mistake to think lkj can only be used on ppl with 'high level of qi' manipulation. Sim Pooh Ho has explained that when someone has a strong will to attack, no matter taiji or shaolin or karate or just muscle man, he unleashes a force, which then can be countered by lingkongjin.

  • qi is also not exclusive to taiji ppl or qigong ppl. evrything in the universe has qi, only thing is that good taiji or qigong helps u to 1.increase 2.store 3.manipulate 4.use. the difference is whether ur qi is refined, thats all.

  • There are 4 stages in tai chi qi manipulation:SHI(FORM),JIN(INTERNAL ENERGY),QI(A STAGE WHERE MINIMAL CONCENTRATION IS NEEDED),HUA(SUPERNATURAL POWER,AN IDEAL LEVEL THAT CAN NEVER BE ACHIEVED). All of them in the video are on the qi level.Ling Kong Jin requires for your opponent to output a large amount of qi discharge. This was what his disciples did,the master merely engaged their qi discharge with his own and forced his through thiers, reulting in a repulsive force.

  • ."Qi"was first discovered by the chinese and it was used in their martial arts.Although they are the 1st to harness this qi,even they do not understand its nature until the west decided to do research. This manmaster's master is called Wu Tu Nan,a famous tai chi master that devoted his life to researching the science behind qi and he also worked closely with many scientists.During an experiment, probes and sensosrs were attached to his body.

  • nobody knows who first discovererd qi. qi is natural,n in ancient time when ppl lived more in tune with natural energies, there was already qigong. the indians, greeks n lost civilizations all had references to qigong, in thier own languages.

  • During an experiment, probes and sensosrs were attached to his body. These sensors picked up traces of high frequency infrared radiation and electrical interference when he manipulated his qi.The effects of qi is actually the result of an electrical field very similar to the natural electricity in a human body. Tell u wad.His Ling Kong Jin will not affect any of u at all.

  • Tell u wad.His Ling Kong Jin will not affect any of u at all."Qi"was first discovered by the chinese and it was used in their martial arts.Although they are the 1st to harness this qi,even they do not understand its nature until the west decided to do research. This manmaster's master is called Wu Tu Nan,a famous tai chi master that devoted his life to researching the science behind qi and he also worked closely with many scientists.

  • GM uses his severe halitosis to stun his opponents hence the need for shouting

  • The stupidest thing i have ever seen

  • it really doesn't matter about the ancient masters. they never fought against any professional mma guys. just like all the "interal" or "tai chi" people. they always beat some no name guys. or beat other kung fu people. beating a judoka is not a great feat, as judokas don't normally train in striking. a human nose only takes 5 lbs of pressure to break.. master or no master.

  • aiyo blurfist, why u so angry??!! poor fellow... dont believe never mind, so vicious for what? no life hah? hahaha? check my correction above, to your wrong facts about yang shao hou. the fat one was yang cheng fu.

  • i believe you are moron, for sure! and most likely one of his students trying to promote him

  • do you believe in anything in your life? I bet you don't believe there is a God either.

  • old scam artist trying to make money and get followers by scamming gullible people..

  • Grandmaster Sim leads a simple life and own a mountain in Kunming, Yunnan, China. He has many branches in Taiwan, Chile, Argentine and Singapore.

  • woldage.. try the circus

  • Poor toad trying to amuse himself or others cos he is ignorant of the world outside the well.

  • Where can I find master Sim and is he accepting new studentes?

  • Dear woledage, Grandmaster Sim now lives in Yunnan, China. As far as i know, he has no students in the US, which i gather is where u are from. His senior students are now teaching in Taiwan, Chile, Argentina and Singapore. He no longer teaches the newest students (there's just too many!). One learns from his students first, and then goes on to upgrade with him.

  • pure comedy

  • An idiot trying to show he is clever.

  • more than one person knows that yang shou hao was a fat fraud and the only reason he could fight decently is because he outweighed all of his opponents

  • haha blurfist, check yer "more-than-one-person-know" facts before u attack. the fat guy was Yang Cheng Fu. Yang Lu Chan and Yang Shao Hou were all small to medium guys who regularly defeated much bigger experts, and often with ling kong jin.

  • hahahaha. yes you are right about something. good boy.

  • i don't respect scam artists or followers of superstitious "martial arts" that attract fa lun gong type religious-like followers (such as yourself) and sheep-like humans who will believe superstitious idocy as is show in this video.

  • Blurfist- whoever you are and whereever you are ( US, I not sure ), listen -if you don't like his face - fair enough but respect his skill.

  • Master Sim has reiterated before the demon that he wanted to let the general public in this modern societies to know that such skill do exist in the ancient days during which, the undefeated taiji master,Yang Lu Chan had mastered this skill to defeat his exponents. The bottomline, is Ling Kong Jing does exist.

It saddened me that there such person do exist in this educated and magnanimous societies to make such uncalled for remark.

  • I think Sim "Poop" Ho needed to empty his underwear after this one...

  • Just what the hell is going on here? I this suppose to be some chi demostration or something?
