Yeah it bothered me before. I always wondered 'Why do they flaunt it? It will just cause them more trouble' But I've come to see it all in a new light. I suppose the only feeling I can compare it to would be something like Black History Month, and any other celebrations of minorities. Its a small way of saying "We're proud and you're just going to have to deal with it" I guess if you can't relate its understandable that you would feel anger and awkwardness. I had once felt the same way.
