European nations have a much longer lifespan than ours and even if their system has flaws, the end result of longer life cannot be argued against.

Willia3r...That's easy. Adjust for murders and car accidents and the US has the longest life expectancy in the world. The stats are easily available online. Our avg. expectancy jumps to 76+ years vs. 75 for the No. 2 nation.

Now I challenge you to explain how you're so certain that anyone's anger is fueled by prejudice and Obama hatred. Might people actually just be fed up with what they say they're fed up about?

Aside from that I can put down several pieces of info that whether you want to believe it or not, which shows why I think this Obama protest stuff is mere prejudice.

1. Jeremiah Wright- Yeah his minister says some pretty outrageous stuff, but the same can be said for John Hagee

2. Obama expanding public debt- Bush did it, & Reagan initiated budget deficits, yet there was no complaints.

Yep, the US has other flaws. But if you're talking about the US health care system, the life expectancy gap is not a valid comparison with other nations. Other issues contribute to the numbers.

You're certainly free to think what you want about protesters. But your (and Ms. Tucker's) approach takes you away from the substance of the discussion..in this case, health care reform. Race is a cheap deflection used, I assume, by folks who know they don't have a convincing argument.

The real problem is that the media isn't trying to offer an honest debate on the media. Both the rightwing & the leftwing portions of the media seem to have their own agenda as to how things should go & in the end it's the little guy, the average American be they black, white, or hispanic, that suffers.

Throw out the race card. Yeah it works with whites. I don't feel comfortable with a black president . Why? I can look at our inner cities and see what blacks have done to them for the last 40 to 50 years. I can look to South Africa and see a once developed nation turned into a shithole like the rest of sub-Saharan Africa by black majority rule. I can see Obama behaving just like Robert Mugabe and sending out thugs to crush free speech and dissent just like in Zimbabwe.

The problem with whites is that too many of y'all seem to want discount everything that does not fit into your cultural filter. Why can't Rev. Wright be seen in the same filter as John Hagee?

That outlook to me is so hypocritically. Judge Wright the same as you would judge any other ultra-conservative preacher.

I don't know too much about Hagee at all. But I see most mega-church pastors as being as outrageous as possible in search of profits. Not something I spend much time on.

But Wright was different in that a Pres. candidate had spent 20 years listening to the guy. Seems reasonable to want to know what was preached and how it might have influenced the candidate. But it's done know and I'm back to not worrying about Wright.

He's a conservative preacher. Yes his preaching is racially tinged but at the same time he is brutally honest. There are still people out there who do not feel that they are truly a part of America. THAT to me is the real debate. 

Otherwise, Judge Wright as you would judge John Hagee or any other conservative white preacher.

20 years of listening to a guy doesn't mean that he believes everything that Wright says. Besides he repudiated everything of Wright's message and even ex-communicated himself from Wright's church.

How many politicians, white or otherwise are willing to do that for their church or cultural & political groups? Not many, if at all.

You are still looking at things thru your own cultural filter. There is a context for some of the things Jeremiah Wright says. Aside from that, we've had politicians with a LOT worser cultural baggage than Obama & STILL looked the other way.

One name that comes to mind is Former North Carolina U.S. Senator Jesse Helms, god rest his soul. To hear some people tell it, this guy was the greatest champion for "Conservative" causes, which to me speaks volumes of the U.S. "conservative" mindset.

There is double standard not when it comes to extremist associations. Granted Hagee is a kook. But Hagee never said something like "we are unashamedly white" Now if McCain went to a church that proclaimed this just about every Sunday and it was a congregation full of white people the media and his opponents would have an issue to put McCain's balls into a vice. Obama went to a church that proclaimed to be "unashamedly black" that is a racist affiliation. Not a filter. Two different standards.

You can't call South Africa before Apartheid's end a developed nation by any means. It was artificial, smoke & mirrors. The only way South Africa had any development was to keep at least 70% of the population living in a police state, no thanks to the outside world which had generously did trade with SA & gave them ample line of credit.

Aside from that, South Africa is weak in areas of engineering & manufacturing. It was advance only by benefit of technology from other European nations.

Some parts were not developed and blacks did not live equally. But still that did not stop blacks from other African nations from getting into SA illegally during Apartheid. Even with the great amount of inequality and apartheid SA was still a better place to live than countries controlled by blacks. Under colonial rule blacks were not equals. Under black rule the vast majority of blacks in Africa are now all equally miserable.

It definitely doesn't help when there are outside forces constantly creating an environment of divide & conquer. Let's be real: Many Intelligence services from the west have a BIG hand in contributing to the instability of many of these countries.

A really big example is Patrice Emery Lumumba former President of the Republic of Congo who by some sources was deposed illegallly & murdered with the help of the CIA & Belgium Intel.

But I am sure you will discount all of this for your agenda.

Outside forces? Blacks in SA just now put into office someone that has all the trappings of a despot in Jacob Zuma. Other African nations refuse to do anything about Robert Mugabe. It was not intelligence services that were behind Mugabe's disastrous land redistribution that has caused Zimbabwe's economy to collapse, massive hyper inflation, and it's people to starve. So long as excuses are made for Africa and excuses are used to justify and get more aid Africa will never be self-sustaining.

Also most of SA's wealth was from mining and natrural resources. Many of the whites that work in South Africa were working in Service Industry-type jobs, which is a net-loss style industry for any country.

Many whites were Policeman, civil service-members, Hotel workers, Accountants, Lawyers, whcch yes are complicated jobs, but nothing like engineering & manufacturing which is the TRUE bread & butter forecaster of a country's success.

Now many of these whites live in poverty...

....Which is a true testament how they benefit from affirmative action: Apartheid-style. Dismantle the aparthied & what you are seeing is the TRUTH. Many of the whites in SA never had what it took to survive in a true Free Market, & they never had the intellect necessary to create.

It's too bad that this condition was never truly explained to the masses, but then again, the powers that run this world aim to keep all of us as ignorant & as prejudiced as possible.

Many whites never had what it takes to survive in a free market? South Africa is experiencing massive brain drain because white South Africans are immigrating because of opportunities elsewhere which leads to them being employed around the world. They are in demand. Electrical power interruptions in SA have been partially attributed to brain drain and having incompetent employees. White South Africans are economically viable and that's why they are able to leave SA in ever increasing numbers.

Interruptions are expected when a country goes through a period of great change & upheaval. Was our country's (U.S.) transition from the crown to independence so smooth?

We went thru a revolution from 1775 to 1783 & I am pretty sure there were still interuptions a couple of years after official proclaming our existence, including a rematch with Britain in 1812. We also had to fight an internal Civil War.

You can't compare the relative peace of Western nations with S.A. Apples & oranges.

The "brain-drain" phenomenon isn't unique to South Africa. India, China, Bosnia, Nigeria, and many other countries where intellectual pursuits are at best tolerate are going through it to.

Using that as an indictment of South Africa is somewhat dishonest in my personal opinion.

What is the Truth willia3r? The truth is equality between races will never be obtained. Why? Because it does not exist in nature or reality. You only have governments providing equality through law. It's not real equality. When a government that provides equality ceases to exist or is dissolved by force it can no longer enforce it's laws. If a popular new government is created absent of any laws mandating equality between races by way of popular sentiment how will equality be achieved?

Still she has a point, regardless of whether or not anyone wants to agree with it. Folks were looking the other way for 30 years while the budget deficits were growing & now that Obama's in office people want to cry bloody murder.

It's all false rage if you ask me. Why did no one say anything about the heavy debts from the occupation in Iraq, which costing not only billions in CURRENT costs but billions in FUTURE costs from taking care of wounded veterans?

The economic situation has changed with more taxes from state governments and the federal government coming down the pipe and Obama wants to add one of the biggest entitlements in the countries history.
