Panda is the worst AV I have ever used in a corporate environment. First of all it NEVER caught any of those stupid fake anti virus malware programs. I always had to remove those manually with Malware bytes. Then their software decided to start sending ridiculous amounts of bandwidth to the cloud through our network that created a ddos like effect. After dealing with their incompetent support for 2 months who never could help us resolve the problem we dumped panda for something better.

if you knew about panda AV you'd also know they work by virus detection, in other words, as soon as a new virus is detected, its linked to a data base and detected by other systems. then its finally put into a data base where it will finally be dealt with. so its unfair to put it to the test due to how the program is operated... remember, its zero day people meaning they are not even known yet!

To those who say that PCA is crap, then why does it rank at or near the top of the heap at preventing infections from getting onto your PC? PCA is free and as such, it is meant to protect an already clean computer since other products do perform better at disinfecting an already infected computer. I´ve to agree that in the beginning Panda Cloudantivirus was bad to catch new Viruses, but now it´s very good!

its on a VIRTUAL MACHINE. it stays in that virtual machine, but when the machine is restored, EVERYTHING is deleted and reverted to the old state. thats how VM's work.

Panda Cloud Antivirus is actually very nice. There are a few dangerous viruses that disable the function of your antiviruses (which means you can't scan for viruses). When that happens, use Panda Cloud Antivirus because it functions differently from other antiviruses. It doesn't get rid of even a quarter of the viruses you have on your computer, but it definitely removes the ones that malfunction your personal antiviruses. I know this from my personal experiences.

ya at the moment i run aviria with commodo but the pop up is really annoying i also imunize my browser and run spybot s$d and other programs from time to time i keep a old copy of cc cleaner to empty the recycle bin incase i get strange browser behavior and i use ghost which i occasionally run to back up files on a seperate drive

One of the things we'll change in the beta2 is the synchronous check against the cloud when executing new programs. This should avoid most of the infections you saw.

You should get a two way firewall like Outpost Free, PcTools, or Comodo. If you get Comodo, you won't need threatfire, since the firewall has a HIPS (Host intrustion prevention system).

Comodo will ask you to install the AV. Uncheck it since Avira is arguably the single best Anti-malware engine out there. Comodo AV is getting better, but Avira is a tested product.

Panda is a joke and a waste of time and money, my friends antivirus expired and he uninstalled it and got panda, he ran all the updates and a bunch of scans and it said his laptop was clean and a week later it wouldn't boot into windows, so I went into safe mode and removed panda and it booted up and I saw some fakealerts so I downloaded avira and it found 25 trojans and a hand full of rootkits and malwarebytes found more nastys, panda customer support is going to be hearing form me

well its normal if it says svchost.exe if its by system or network. if it says its running by your user name and not system or network then i reccomend u do a scan with a good antivirus
