@brushlessmicrot not sure anyone makes metal gears for micro t specifically. plastic gears I've noticed are usually more smooth. id like to try it though. are there any metal gears that work on micro T?
@DOJIELDIENVE i dont know lol if there was i wouldve had them so idk haha i was tryiong to find a sight that makes custom gears but i couldnt all i can find is everything alumionum for it trany screws bearings case just not the gears
@ilovepokerguy probably around 15 min. heat is more of a concern. in this case. the losi esc is barely up to the task. sometimes it shuts off when too hot. beats going up in flames but not good when stranded in the middle of the road
man the micro t's are a lot of fun, you ever think about putting some furr on it and pranking ppl ,its a lot of fun man i do it with mine in down town dallas
@theferrisjuggalo thats gotta be funny. a big bird dove down on mine once out of nowhere it was awesome seeing the bird put on the brakes right after changing his mind about eating it. so in short, watch out for eagles. cheers
The goal here was to build a reliable pocket rocket RC. I chose the Micro T because of small size and light weight. For speed, i used the brushless combo powered by Lipo. Reliability was harder, I was sure I could reach my goal if I upgraded the right parts. A strategic mix of plastic, aluminum and carbon fibre did the trick. Unfortunately the kit I chose is still not as reliable as I wanted it to be. The drive and tranny is just not designed for brushless power. I've got it to work well by kee
@xVeNoMzAsHerZ With your stock reciever you may get a lot of glitches with the brushless combo. Best to go Spekrum, they start at $100 and worth every penny.
I just got a micro t 3 weeks ago And i thought it bit the dust the other day when it didn't want to run but luckily it's still ok and runs again I still don't know why that happened though? lol any way I'm looking at the new dsm brushless setup because I'm going to get a dx3s for my Savage X I don't plan on goin all out with the micro t but what other mods besides a lipo would u recommend for indoor use because thats where it'll be over the winter. Thanks! :) nice truck by the way!
true. there was a few things i had to fix, like the spur gear being wobbly. and installing CVD s. never got ceramic ball bearings, too expensive. i got it to go faster in my later vids. but lowered the gearing. so really about the same speed with more torque.
i have a micro t, 1025KW(i hopethats right) 3s lipo and everything else is stock but ive tryed all kinds of cluch figureations, but ive gone through 4 trannies. imnot going to buy another one untill i find a better solution so do you have a idea? thanks

@MrDjrudge the diff is a set of four small gold colored gears inside to bigger plastic gears. to lock the diff you just put some glue inside where the metal gears are, then put it all back together.
Locking the diff benefit is that there is less wear so less gears to maintain. (less shredding)
you should not lock the diff if you plan on racing as you will loose some turning speed.
best to have two diffs. one locked (glued) and one not. hope that helps. thanks.
It gets hot but it doesn't overheat. don't go full speed all the time. You can't even turn on full speed anyways. If you slam the throttle you will bend the dogbones.
How did you fit that battery?

The only thing stock is the steering servo and front and rear shock towers. Chassis carbon fibre by hot racing. Tires are by Atomic I think.

Dude I'm surprised you're isn't any faster with the 3S and a 10,000KV motor... My 7000KV does about 25-30 with it's offroad gearing..

The diff is glued. And the body I got on eBay. Look for Final Evolution MicroT body or MicroT carbon body. They also make Some for the micro dt.
They are real carbon fibre under the clear lexan. I Like the way these look.
