I actually like this album a bit save for the standard anesthetic outro song which is super played out for them. In many ways I like the move towards a more mellow, groovy kind of sound.

let me set my self straight here....the new record is terrible minus 3 songs....the weakest drums chad has ever done...where the fuck has sa been...oh in the background....i tried to convince myself by listening repeatedly,brainwashing myself to love this record,well....i dont.. it sucks...no groove,no funk,and stop with the goddamn pussy ballads..they use to do great mellow tunes...the weakest selling albums happen to be their worst...coincidence,i think not..the hardcore fans arent buying it.

WOW, 311 has hit an alltime low in their music, I can't believe that this is the same band that made the Transistor, Soundsystem, The Blue Album, and Grassroots... It's a shame that they have lost their old sound.

These guys have been around for 20 years. Personally, I like that their sound has evolved. It would be boring if everything sounded the same. And if you think about it, Transistor sounds very different than the Blue album. Blue was pretty much all harder rap-rock, Transistor mixed in a lot of smoother and funkier songs like Use of Time, Prisoner, The Continuous Life, just to name a few. No album is the same, and that's why 311 kicks ass. There's always something new to like.
