  • "Howard...get the (aspirin) with buffering added--it's better for the stomach"--Madeline Kahn in WHAT'S UP, DOC?

  • Olive oil w/ lemon juice works better than any spray on wood furniture. And chamomile is a natural anti-inflammatory. But there's nothing better than good posture and plenty of rest to prevent headache tension.

  • Bufferin would surely upset your stomach. That tablet is huge! It's about the size of a clay pidgeon, dissolving in less than 30 seconds!

  • You can still get Behold furniture polish, but yeah, Anacin and/or Bufferin have pretty much gone the way of the dinosaur.

  • Behold. For lazy asses who won't use coasters.

  • @blackwhimsy

That's when you take the can of Behold and chuck it aiming for their head and yell out..EITHER USE A &%$% COASTER OR WIPE UP YOUR SH&T!

  • 1971. Like yesterday. Thanks!

  • Those old Bufferin commercials used to really freak me out!

  • Peter Thomas on the Behold VO! Every time I find a commercial with Peter Thomas I will post a comment.

  • I remember those bufferin commericals well.

  • Lemon Behold needs moar Billy Mays.

  • This is 1971. Leave your meme shit in 2006 where it belongs.

We need more 1970s commercials. I can't find a good quality video that shows a nice varied block of them. Food, domestic appliances, cars, seers, etc, thats what I want to see!

  • I was only 13 and in school back then. Oh how simple these commercials were. But today, you see mainly commercials for cars, prescription drugs, make-up, and on local TV here in Philadelphia; trade schools glamorizing the medical field, medical malpractice law firms, natural male enhancement, and ripoff car title loans.

  • The Bufferin ad confirms my memories of TV, and TV commercials already being fairly sophisticated, by the 1970s. Thanks for posting.

  • Peter Thomas is the voice behind the Behold ad...

  • funny how none of these products exist anymore. they probably all were found to cause congestive heart failure or something

  • Or have been swallowed by other HUGER mega corporations.

  • I have no idea how you found these or where you got them, but thanks for posting them! I feel like a little kid again!

  • I remem later versions of the Bufferin ad as a kid.Scared me then, still scare me now. Also frightened of:water, chickens, other people, just bout everything!Haha!Thanks4posting these classics!

  • Note to self: Buy coasters for next Encounter Group.

And the film doesn't lie: Bufferin indeed kicks aspirin's ass.

Early 70s ads like these are something of a rarity and a treat to watch. Thank you for posting.
