That's actually a "wild type" male betta, not a female.  The wild type males resemble females, with shorter fins.

@2Leng e.e no, it's not a 20,000 dollar fine, but more likely a 200-500 dollar fine, if the police catch you doing it constantly. Sure, it's "JUST A FISH", which some people would slit your throat for saying that, but a fish is an animal. Any cruelty towards an animal, (well in OUR country) is illegal Even us humans. faktem jest iz bojownik niewymaga duzej przestrzeni niemusi to być 20L jak ktoś tu twierdz,,!! oraz zadnych napowietrzaczy w zbiorniku oddycha powietrzem z atmosfery z ponad lustra wody , prawdą tez jest ze w zbiornikach tzw. kulistych ryby doznają uszkodzeń wzroku,ale najbardziej wkurwia mnie jak widze w akwarystycznym bojowniki w zamkniętch kubkach z plastiku ...!!!
