@aiu7125 Even with computers as powerful as they are today we are still many years from achieveing the same processing power as an insects brain, let alone the reasoning skills and self awareness it would take to "learn" The closest they have come so far is the IBM 'Watson' computer built to play Jeopardy, and as advanced as this is it is still just an example of clever multi layered algorithms designed to complete a single task.

There was this one (WarGames), the one you're talking about where he basically just ducks out of school all the time (I think that was the period where he was banned from computers. This really is one of my favorites. It's the only hacker-esque movie I've seen that is more or less technologically accurate (as far as movies go anyways xD), but it stills manages to be exciting.

I have never really taken the time to research the supposed method David uses when he unscrews the payphone handset and uses the aluminum piece or whatever to place a free call.......... In my day, a redbox worked just fine. =0

@GTvlogOFFICIAL I remember doing this when I was younger and it actually worked. When you unscrewed the receiver cover and removed the speaker inside, it exposed two screws on the back. Touching these screws to any metal would cause a short circuit. I believe that the short circuit created an electrical "click" that tricked the phone's coin sensor into thinking that you had deposited a coin.
