  • Ripper owns does a good Dio impression. This might sound wierd but I'd like to see somebody like Glenn Hughes or even Ann Boleyn with them -- but singing in their own voice. I appreciate the tribites are supposed to be impersonation, but this does not need to be a copy band.

  • He does a great Dio impersonation, I mean it isn't as good as dio, but its probably the closest I've ever heard.

  • puta que pariu eles deviam fazer uma turne maior pelo brazil, pena que soh vão no Metal Open Air! Hail Dio Forever

  • goldy es una maquina no puedo creer q todavia pueda tocar asi la guitarra

  • I think what has always held Ripper back is an almost complete and total lack of stage presence. He looks like a timid karaoke singer.

  • solo Ripper Owens puede cantar sus canciones como debe ser.

    Long Live Ronnie James DIO

  • ...to strangeeeeeeeeeeeers ehey oh....

  • Can't wait to see these guy's! Goldie and Owens....can't lose!

  • What can't Ripper sing?

    NOTHING!

  • Please ripper owens join sabbath.

  • well if dio is the god of metal then ripper is the jesus of metal...

  • I disagree that its sad. This isn't meant to be a traditional " tribute sound alike band"...it's a tribute band. Tim and Ronnie were apparently good friends...Lighten up everybody...

  • kinda sad that Ripper got this job, should wish that Jørn Lande from Jorn would have been vocalist instead. He's got a so much better voice for Dio songs.

  • Given that Goldy, Wright and Warren have been members of Dio and that LoMenzo seems to be a terrific bassist, this is a great line-up. But few people can replace Dio, without trying to sing like him (as does Owens). Glenn Hughes is one of them (although he must be busy with BCC and his solo career). Klaus Meine of Scorpions would also be a terrific choice and would do justice to The Man. David Coverdale would be great. Have you heard Dio singing "Mistreated"? It's time we heard Cov sing Dio.

  • Você cantou bem,mas igual ao Ronnie James Dio não tem outro igual!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is there a particular reason why Ripper apparently needs to check up the lyrics from the prompter/papers every five seconds? Because that's what it at least looks like and if it's so, how can he be TRIBUTING the greater heavy metal vocalist of all times on an "official" (Wendy sanctioned) touring tribute band? He's got a great voice but he could be just so much more if he could put take that concentration of his from the floor to the actual song instead.

  • @tinkezione

maybe you could "put take" you concentration in to your typing...

  • @tinkezione Some singers use lyrics. I saw Type O Negative about 6 months before Peter Steele died. He was using lyrics for HIS OWN songs that he had sang for 20 years. I met Peter after the show, and he was stone cold sober, very engaging and friendly. Why did he need lyrics for his own songs? Not sure, but I believe that Ripper is doing a great job. He was obviously ASKED to do this. It is an honor for him, and he has a great voice. And, I doubt that they are making that much money.

  • Ripper is a genius. Hats off !

  • "" LINDO ADOREI, VOÇES CANTARAM MUITO LINDO PARABENS!!!BEIJOS DA SIL!!!

  • Right the f*k on.

  • It's great to see these amazing musicians honoring Dio. HAIL! TO GOLDY, WRIGHT, AND WARREN to keep us enjoying what DIO let us.

  • fucking cancer!!!you killed the king...I love Magica...i got really exited when i knew about magica II and III but...the king is dead

  • Okay...it's sounds like a casio tone-bank for the drums.

  • Dio is GOD ! Ripper is Great !

  • The singing is good. But there is no soul and no magic. The only person I ever heard with the similar soul and feel is Ann Boleyn (Hellion). Still this is very good. But the feeling is not right.

  • This tribute is well done but way to soon it only reminds me how much I miss Dio.

  • This proves there is no god, DIO deserves way way WAY more than death! Why'd he have to die? RIP buddie

  • This proves there is no god, DIO deserves way way WAY more than death! Why'd he have to die? RIP buddie

  • It's times like these when you know there is no god, DIO deserves way way WAY more than death! Why'd he have to die? RIP buddie

  • Val Kilmer can really play that guitar.

  • Fantastic! Would love to see these guys live.

  • I just thank Tim and the guys from Dio for bringing Ronnie's music back to life.

  • Ripper carajo!!! que version magistral señores!!!

  • En kutsuis coveriks ko suurin osa oli kuitenki Dioa...R.I.P

  • Ripper Owens is one of the most underrated metal singers ever. Absolutely loved Jugulator.

  • True, he really can sound like Ronnie. Tim is an incredible metal vocalist, maybe the best and most versatile there is today.

  • @DTROXX "He can really sound like Ronnie"

Your joking right?....Tim is great..but nowhere near sounding like RJD...

  • @timetodepop I didn´t mean that he actually SOUNDS like Ronnie, but he certainly is capable of doing a wonderful tribute performance. Of course he neither sounds like Ronnie nor like Halford, but he is is definitely the right man to fill the shoes of those great masters of metal vocals. Tim`s voice is really impressive and currently there are very few who can keep up with him. It´s sad that he has still so many haters. Just my opinion.

  • @DTROXX "its sad that Tim still has so many Haters"

I never understood why...Maybe for the same reason that the Ozzy fans fail to recognize the incredible music RJD, Tony Martin, Ian Gillan, and others made with Sabbath...They call themselves purists...I call them narrow minded imbeciles...Their loss really

  • @timetodepop

Uhm, sorry, but maybe people just don't like the styles the bands took on with these singers/vocalists?

I like Tony Martin, but I'm just not a fan of Ian Gillan's voice.

The same with Ripper. He hast alent and can sing, but I just don't like his style.

It has nothing with being narrow minded.

  • @ThrashTillDeath123 Pretty interesting tastes there. You seem to dislike what I would call the "screamers" of heavy metal music. Could it be you prefer singers with lower ranges, like Ronnie James Dio, maybe Phil Lynott, people like that? You might give Gillan another chance, he doesn't only do the high-pitched thing like he did with Black Sabbath.

  • he sounds just like him wow RIP GOD OF METAL GOD OF MUSIC RONNIE !!!

sad kids these days dont know music how can rap or hip hop ever be considered music? metal is life its so powerful these words the movement so much more life then Crap

  • This is too good! Bring this tour to North America now!

  • COME TO DENMARK!!!!! I BEG U!

  • What this is to me is people that loved Ronnie and just want to give him the rightful respect he truly deserves

  • He really manages to create that Dio sound!

  • Great Ronnie would be pleased!

  • WOW ! STUNNED as usual. Give it up for RIPPER Rock n Rollers. Deserves all the respect and beers you buy him ! KEEP WAILIN OH10. u know who it is! Mark from Harrisburg! UR KILLIN ME- the norm. BAND is TIGHT. SOUNDS great. only a few shows in and they got it down pretty good. DIO is Rockin, u know it !
