@RiMiFoster Thanks! I really enjoy going to see things outside my county, and I am surprised at how many interesting and unique things Kentucky has to offer! Thanks for your lovely comment!
I love how you speak. Not necessarily the accent as I have that, too (being from Winchester originally), but the cadence; very measured and deliberate. ;)
Gonna try your beer cheese receipe.. thanks for that. Been a long time since I've had any, and of course, you can't get it here on the east coast.
Thanks for your sweet comment! It's nice to hear from someone who grew up close by--I've been looking for a way to work Ale-8-1 into my cooking show! I hope you enjoy the beer cheese! I'm sure you will, because you know what to expect! Thanks for viewing and commenting!
Hi Betty your husband is very very handsome you guys make a beautiful couple....I love your videos looks like you two always have a great time together, thanks for taking us along....
Their food is wonderful! I have picked Boone Tavern many times for birthdays and anniversaries! I'm glad you liked the video! Thanks for your lovely comment!
That's fantastic! We live in Richmond, and really enjoy going to Berea! We did a video on the Spoonbread Festival about a month ago! Thanks for your sweet comment!
I will be showing you more of Kentucky. KY is famous for horse racing, whisky, historic Inns like Shaker Village, Beaumont Inn, Merrick Inn, etc. I will take you to several events, and come back with a related recipe. I am glad you find KY interesting. Thanks so much for your comment!
I will be doing a field trip to Maker's Mark distillery, and I will make something with whisky. I think I used Maker's Mark in my Keeneland Bread Pudding, which was posted a few months back! (We will be going to Keeneland, also!) Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for all of your lovely compliments! I appreciate your interest in what goes on in Kentucky! I will be showing you more! Thanks for viewing and commenting!
You are very welcome! It is a restaurant that we have celebrated many anniversaries, Valentine's Days, etc. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for commenting!
Nice video Betty, and you do look beautiful, but I'm a downhome girl , not too much uptown so I think I'd like to go to Halls by the River best. I did love all the pottery , stained glass and music though.
Thanks, Mera, for all of your lovely comments! Yes, we had a good time. The place looks very formal, but it is really laid back and comfortable. The whole town is like that. Have a great week!
Yes, and I couldn't resist ordering the pie, even though I had a similar pie at Hall's, and there were other good choices. Thanks for coming along with me!
I have plans to do Shakertown, Beaumont Inn, Keeneland, the Brown Hotel in Louisville, Merrick Inn, and a few other places before it gets too cold! I hope you will recognize some of the things I wil be showing! Thanks for your sweet comment, Patsy!
Thanks again, Betty. I had my cup of tea and a smile on my face. It was a great visit which was so enjoyable. I am looking forward to see which recipe you choose. Hope you eventually show us both. I appreciate the time you take to show us such a beautiful country . You and your husband are wonderful hosts.
I am so glad you enjoy our "field trips." I don't want them to come out like home movies that people dread watching. I will always try to connect them to food in some way! I hope you enjoy the recipe that I will be uploading tomorrow!
Yes, we had a great time. We've been spending today at a pumpkin patch picking out our pumpkin for Halloween. I hope you will like the recipe I chose to make from Boone Tavern. It will be uploaded tomorrow! Have a good night, Jimmy.
Very nice Betty, it's good to see Rick again. I found the appetizer interesting, I think you said it was blackeye pea relish. Which dessert did Rick choose, I would have picked the spiced pumpkin cheesecake. Rosemarie
Yes, the appetizer was blackeye pea relish. It tasted very good! Rick decided against a dessert; he thinks bettyskitchen is making him eat too much! (The spiced pumpkin cheesecake did look good!) Thanks for viewing and commenting!

Hi Betty,
it may sound corny but this is how i imagine a fancy southern restaurant.
the male and female waiters are dressed nice and know what they are serving (i think often they don't!)
Love your trips!
thank you for taking the time and effort!

P.S. I love the black ensemble you're wearing!
