@fabianoasc - this is lovely! Too bad this marvelous piece of antiquity is located in a territory currently documented by ruthless, barbaric, criminal Islamic creatures who do not hesitate to kill, torture & maim innocent victims OR destroy priceless treasures from the antiquity (such as the Taliban's destruction of an ancient Buddha statue and this week's destruction of ancient Egyptian artifacts in Cairo
I've been to this museum in Berlin many times. It holds many, many treasures from antiquity. The museum is named the Pergamon Museum because inside the museum is the altar that was moved there, from Pergamon in modern day Turkey, and then reassembled inside the museum.
The altar was in use from 281–133 BC and is near modern day Izmir, Turkey.
I have always thought though that they should rename the museum The Ishtar Gate Museum because THIS GATE is the real treasure in this museum.
Yeah, a bunch of primatives; fresh outta a cave did that huh?! Duuuuhhh! Who's dumber? Me for believe that crap (when I was only 10years old) or you for thinking I would believe it in the first place? (Im speaking to the archeologist)
@taifhamid1 Oldest - in terms of records - the Sumerian stone tablets describe stuff going back to 300.000 BC, when some space race named Annunaki came for mining gold. And then 200.000 BC creating a servant race to do this 'job' - which is us. Atlantis is assumed to have existed ca. 50.000 BC to 9.000 BC, Lemuria is supposedly even older but might have existed for some time parallel with Atlantis. Unfortunately the records are with Indiana Jones or the British museums cellars.
I can't help but feel that the Glazed stones were relics of Atlantis.
Where else do you find these stones?
