I used some aluminum membrane roofing product, pretty cheap. I think the company is Resisto. I laid it out in the cab of my pick-up and it works a lot like the dynamat. I used rubber and adhesive inbetween my chassis and rollbar. It's amazingly quite for a 20 year old truck.
Just buy some FatMat so much easier wand would work better... You can get 100 square feet for $100 in the 5mm the 8mm thick stuff is $70 for 50 square feet.
I've used that particular spray adhesive and it's pretty terrible. There's better (although more expensive stuff) from the 3M company that's available at any auto parts store. However, I think your best option would be a bottle for Rubber Cement and a small paint roller.
Also, make sure the area is clean. Just use soap and water and let it dry.
just a "FYI. that can of glue is ment to spray the surface of the material and the area where it will be put. wait 30 to 30 min for it to get real tackey.. then put it there. if not the glue will not adhear correct.
Yeah, not a problem at all. I didn't label any of the screws and things, which was a mistake on my part. So long as you label stuff it shouldn't be a problem. The whole project worked pretty well for me overall.

Thanks to those of you who enjoyed this video. It took quite a while to sift through 6 hours of footage to pick out just what I wanted to show, but came out rather nicely I think.. While it is the 'poor mans dynamat' as put by pedrotski2007, for me (a broke college student) it was a perfectly viable alternative. At the time I talked with audimute representatives they told me I was one of only 2-5 people who had ever tried this product in a vehicle. To iluvithaha, it's all on the website listed
I will try this myself if they ship to Greece and tell you my opinion. 100$ is a fair price specially within these days of crisis along with the vehicles dramaticaly droping value.
Great video, I'm going to try it with their "Peacemaker Sound Isolation Tape" on the website after talking to a rep; it's rated to 176°F so it should withstand most summer days as long as the windows are cracked and aren't exposed to heat for a long time.
Installing the Peacemaker was done specifically because I wanted to do an overhaul on my car audio system. I installed aftermarket speakers and subwoofers in the doors and in a ported sun enclosure for the back area. (6.5" infinity reference speakers, 12" alpine series r's)
I once drove 70mph, windows down, with opera playing. It was turned up loud but I could heard every note perfectly. The peacemaker eliminated the rattles from the door caused by the speaker. Better sounds are guaranteed. As
dynamat is weak use second skin. i would use that peace maker stuff for my doors!! thanks man

FYI, you have to let the glue thicken up about 30sec to a minute. when it's nice and tacky is when you lay your product.

Awesome I'm doing this next week, one question though... Was it easy to remove the carpet and panels without destroying anything?
