@ RajaMCool. It's not to everyone's taste...If you feel you can't 'get into it' don't try... it's not like you 'need' to...not everyone apreciates The Cure...I've been a fan since 1980...but I don't like every track they have done...in fact I'm not a big fan of this one either...but then I like 'The Top'...and not everyone else will. try listening to 'Bananafishbones'....
This song is almost a durge and almost a ballad. I love the final note when you think it is going to go up a note or two higher but just hangs to the end. Beautiful song.
I'm trying so hard to get into the band. However, it is very difficult because I feel that the lyrics and the beats do not match and I think that most of the songs are just a compilation of bizarre electronic sounds and random lyrics thrown together. I really know that there has to be some songs that I can like.
@RajaMCool you're broken. don't even worry about the cure. if you can't see the good in it, move on to something more your speed. like, hmm, spice girls?
@RajaMCool You fail at life for doing anything other than understanding the emotions behind the music.Sorry, not trying to be harsh, but seriously...how can you not appreciate the content for what it is,
@RajaMCool If the first time you heard this song it didn't run you over like a freight train, if hearing tracks like Last Dance, Close Down and untitled didn't touch every single nerve in your body, then this music is just not for you. What do you mean I'm trying so hard to get into this band? Don't be a poser dude, if you don't like it, stop listening to it, may I suggest maybe Pink or Britney Spears.
@RajaMCool it either clicks or it doesn't.music now sounds bizzare and off beat to me.which probably explains why mainstream teenagers/adults like simplistic remakes of their songs but not them.there is a layered order to it and it flows rather nicely.I can honestly say I like quite a few from them.and the other ones I appreciate for the abstractness and instrumental talent alone.I think this song would have held great appeal to century old composers.beautiful.love the windchimes.
@RajaMCool And you say that the Cure randomly puts bizarre (!) sounds together and lyrics? When i was younger i coudn't get into the band as well, after i heard some songs i really liked. And from then on.. Now i own every song they ever made. Good bands need repeated listens. And about the lyrics. Well randomly is not very well described for every song being a little tale in its own right.
This song stay as contemporary as ever , this is a piece of art fully accomplished from the lyrics to the landscapes of sounds mimic the internal emotional landscape of the listener , this song captivates me and I forget who am I , lost in it , like when you contemplate any of the masterpieces of any legendary artist you can name .
You said it beautifully x

@RajaMCool "Same Deep Water As You" is a personal favorite. The song is well written with very deep lyrics, but it is one of their darker pieces.
