hey i need some help guys i have a klx 250 1981 the bike it self burns oil and a mixture of gas and oil blows out of the exhaust port not sure why the compression is 152 just wondering if the seals are gone or maby a bad valve pplease help????

this thing is fast enough for the streets ive done around 70-80 (speedo reading) on the freeway and didnt have to worry bout cars riding my ass because i was even passing ppl up. if you want something faster then spend the 1000plus more on something else. this bike has been fun to mod...with the savings you get u can turn this bike into a 351 firebreathing monster if u wanted to

just an update..i rejetted and slapped on a two-brothers pipe and this thing is a whole different bike...still thinkin bout the 13t front sprocket as im starting to use the bike to commute to work...but as i said..ive passed up the slower cars on the freeway except now it rips to redline much faster..

The Klx250s moves out pretty good if you get up past 7000 rpm, and you should change the pipe and re-jet like everybody else...

is it just me or is the new klx 250s slow as fuck i have bought one and it just seems to have no power love to get some feedback on that maybe sprockets,exhausts, different bike like i nearly got smoked by a dirty old 93' xr 250 all it had was a bigger carby fuck is this what $8,000 gets you these days

The bike still has a Keihin CVK34 carb. and (KACR)=Kawasaki's auto compression release.

The bike needs a new motor not a new look.

this motor is BULLETPROOF. mods are avilable to add displacement as necessary.. all in all its a solid package and starting platform for a mod machine.
