Unimogs are not very good in terms of reliability or offroading capacity.

A friend had one for 8 months, cost over $8000 to keep it running that long and we had to drag it out of the bush for him 3 times.

My home made buggy decimated it every time.

it has everything a normal john deer traktor has, but more.

This crap seriously doesnt produce that much.I even doubt that it could even produce half of that.I read from somewhere,that these unimogs have 5,9 liter turbo-diesels or near that.Thats just too little displacement for that.

American's run 7 tonne tanks with 3.0l diesel engines. The need for displacement is a non issue for diesel.

5.9 litres is enough to go anywhere.

So if this Unimog weighs one third of the amount that The Kraz-255b towing a tank then clearly the Unimogs 5.9 litres is sufficient. 5.9 litre diesels can make full size trucks run 11 second quarter miles. The displacement is right for this vehicle. I think Unimog might know what their doing. You don't need a train engine in a truck.

Ja. Als spezialisiertes nutzfarhzeug ist der Unimog unschlagbar. Dodge Ram ist etwas vielseitiger einsetzbar und man kann davon ausgehen dass er haeufiger eingesetzt wird, aufgrund des niedrigeren presies.

Unimogs sind halt keine fahrzeuge fuer jedermann. Zudem sehen die neueren modelle irgendwie kacke aus. Wie nen mensch mit zu grosser stirn. :P

I know my comments go against the grain of popular opinion but im speaking from 11 years experience in the motor trade, in addition to this Ive owned 7 german cars in my lifetime and all have been terrible to the extreme, poor build, poor materials (heavy and solid in places but not good quality), suspect electrics, underdeveloped driving dynamics (my E38 and golf were terrible in crosswinds), In general I fully believe that they (along with other german products) are overrated in the extreme...

I bought a 7 becuase I foolishly decided to ignore my previous bad experiences with german stuff and I like the look of the 7, after getting one however I realised that getting it was a mistake as it has gradually started trouble with Electrics, Trim (window rubbers rotting and letting water in) and other trim issues, this experience is similar to the other 6 german cars ive owned, British cars were great but lazyness and bad management has killed the UK car industry...
