  • I remember the day of that fire. Although I live in NY, because I went to a Parochial school at the time. If think that this fire began the modern age of Fire Drills and Fire sprinklers inside schools.

  • another great Tragedy was the Hartford Circus Fire of 1944 where there were also kids who died in it,and theres also peoples remains who have not been accounted for

  • @bigkevcxza Yes I studied up on that fire too. I was a fire inspector for many years and these tragedies always got to me. That circus fire was a bad one. Did you know that back then they treated the canvas tents with kerosene to make them waterproof? What an ignorant thing to do

  • @lonewolf13scott it was a Parafin and Gasoline mixture the Parafin was to make the canvas waterproof and the Gasoline was to break down the Wax, and it wasnt gasoline that we have today it was the White gasoline filled with lead and in the investigation they said that because of the war they didnt have any fireproofing materials

  • It is just so unbelievably horrible that these kids had to die because of one's stupid decision.

  • The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God. Touchable Tribute, Brought tears down my eyes, May God Bless them all ~ Zac

  • RIP Fireman Richard Scheidt (carrying little John Jajkowski 4:20) who passed away this past April.

  • god bless you Richard you were truly one of Chicago Fire Departments bravest

  • Loving tribute. God rest their souls! Innocence gone to Heaven.

  • sad. I don't think cpr was introduced at that time, I'm sure the children went to Heaven. I learned I love your videos! Again, 5*

  • It was a fire in a Catholic school on the west side of Chicago on Dec. 1, 1958. Ninety two children died. Many people in Chicago have never gotten over this,a terrible loss.
