Randy! Thanx for supporting ALC! I'm gonna be a Roadie & look forward to meeting you. I'm hosting a comedy fundraiser show in Hollywood for ALC. Let me know if you would like to be a part of it. Big hug.
It's obvious you are a man of great character deciding to do something like this..... and, stunning... yes, stunning. But, that's just "fluff" right?? I wish I was in a position to contribute. Congratulations on your example to the entire world. You are fantastic.
You are correct, in that few are given the "Platform" that you have! However I believe you to be more than deserving of it, a trust that is well placed! I will confess I had to take a moment and think about what I'm about to say, but it's been a reality of mine for so long, of which I'm no longer fearful! I wanted to thank you for stepping forward and entering the"AIDS LifeCycle Ride to end AIDS Tour!
Your Bay Area friend and "Uncle" Blaine here, who has been living with HIV, since first being diagnosed way back in the early "Bad" dark days of the "Pandemic" in 1987, as a 23 year old man, is beyond grateful, as well as "Humbled" by this service to the Community! Till then I'll be doing my utmost to "Herald" your arrival in California! You shall receive the "Warmest" of welcomes my friend!
Hey Randy, I am a keen cyclist but as a transport and as a hobby, I am not competitive. I can do about 30 miles comfortably in a day and have peaked at 56 miles... so I know 80 (I think that's what you said) in a day is going to be a task. You clearly have muscles everywhere so no doubt will be up to the challenge. Wishing you well Randy.
Over 12,000 views, 600+ 'Likes'... the link is right up there... go ahead... click it. Give $1, $2, $5... don't think 'oh, that's such a small amount, it won't help'... if all 12,000+ that viewed this thought that, and each gave $1, you would see how all of that added together would help!! $1, 1 person, can make a difference
Randy-for approx one month i served a DUI suspension-i rode my bicycle everywhere in my town.if youre in shape as ive gotten myself into-you can ride the bike-i just know you can.
Hey Randy have you ever thought of seeking command sponsership? When I was in the Marines, they would often let a person have the time to do stuff like this without charging thier leave accounts and such. Possibly they may be a good source of sponsership on your ride itself? i'm on your side just let us know how to sponser and the details. Thanks!
You are my inspiration!!! I just went onto Facebook and liked your page but more importantly, I just donated to help you achieve your goal. Best of luck with the race. If at all possible, vlog throughout it. I would love to watch.
I read an article from a sermon by a Methodist minister that stated "Christ has AIDS". It was an attention getter. He then went on to say that we are all a part of the body of Christ. When one of us (the family of Christ) as HIV/AIDS then the whole body is infected and it's our responsibility to help heal one another. Kudos to this Methodist minister who so eloquently explained to us that we are all of one family and it's up to us to help those that are suffering.

Congrats on deciding to do the LifeCycle, I've done it twice and it is one of the most amazing experiences you will have in your life. I wrote a guide, of what to expect and a few hints that can make life on the road a lot easier, for a friend of mine who was doing his first ride last year. If you're interested, I can email it to you - drop me a line and let me know. You are in for an incredible experience.
please question the 2 or 3 protein HIV test - the test is not accurate - vaccinations, drug use, streroids and pregnancy can all cause positive hiv test results - hivquestions
donated to you man... good luck!! ive done something similar myself, over here in the UK. just keep your mind on what your doing it for and it will be over in no time. one again mate.. GOOD LUCK!! haha
awesome man!!!! I have done this ride twice and trust me when I say it is an experience you will NEVER forget! And don't worry about the length it is totally doable it is more psychological then anything else. Just make sure you do some training on hills cause there are a few that hurt! Good luck man!!!!!!!
Good Luck! I hope the donations keep pouring in. Thanks for participating in this worthwhile event. Hope to cheer you on the route.Sweat Home Alabama!Let us know what else you need,OK?
Doing things like your doig is what sets you apart and makes you special. I will be supporting you for sure and have a few contacts in the mining industry for possible sponsors. I used to live in CA and that will be a beautiful drive you will love! Your awesome...

Currently unemployed but have sponsored Randy as you can spread donations over 2 or more months. I have spread my donation over 4 months. Every little bit does help guys so please sponsor Randy even if it is just a few dollars.
dude you need to hook up with Scott herman (herman fitness) here on youtube he does the life aid cycle with his fitness center..maybe you guys can join together! seriously !
Randy, in my younger more agile days my sport of choice was long distance cycleing and I enjoyed it IMMENSELY!! If you train well the pace that will be set for the group by the leader will provide you a great workout AND the added advantage of seeing some great sights enroute. This is an event I'm sure you are going to enjoy.
You are just so amazing man! I am humbled by your continuous giving that you share with the world. You touch so many people. I'm proud to be able to support you on this incredible journey in CA that you'll be doing. I hope you'll have a party in LA for us all to meet you.
I'm happy to have made my donation to support this adventure and the worthy causes. Randy, know that what you did last year (and continue to do) to help people be comfortable w/ themselves & come out has helped so many lives. I hope you don't mind people visiting LA to congratulate you and to say hello on June 9. I saw that you got the Shimano combo pedals on Amazon - I have a very similar model and I was going to recommend them to you. Just got my first road bike last May and love it.
June 3rd is my birthday too. I had to sponsor you as well and wish I could do more for someone who is so humbly showing himself to be an admirable role model for our community and the entire world.
Thank you for using your fame for something very very good. If I could help just send me info or address where I can send some money to you. My e-mail is noraak@hotmail.com
If I was older, out of the closet, and had money, I swear I would donate! So the most I can give u right now is love and support! *hands u love and support* lol
Hey Randy, the ride will change your life! I have done it two years and it's amazing. My boyfriend and I signed up but most likely won't be able to make it this year. We will see you off in SF and welcome you back in LA. I'm glad you are riding!!
When you list your links and stuff, can you always leave you PO Box. When I get my tax return, I would like to send a check to help cover your personal expenses. I already give an amount equal to what I spend on myself each year to charity. I have a paypal account, but have never used it because it got a glitch in it when it was being created and I just decided to let it go. I have tried to get them to correct that but I will not just delete it and open a new one. They should fix the problem.
Way to go. I've been doing the MS-150 bicycle ride from Duluth to the Twin Cities for 7 years now, and these things are great fun for great causes. Advice: Start biking every week now. Saddle time is much more important than physical fitness...On weekends try for 40-50 mile rides. If you have a gym membership, go to spinning class. And get the bike shorts..They are a life saver.
Good luck!!! June 9th is my B-day and 1st day of Summer Vacation for school so while your cycling I'll probably be sleeping all day and sitting on my ass eating cake all night. Feeling pretty lazy.
This reminds me so much of that episode of Queer as Folk where they ride from Portland to Toronto in bicycles ! and where Bryan insists on finishing the ride when he's actually super sick.
Congrats man! Thanks for your dedication and support. Airman here, live near Los Angeles and San Diego. You'll have a blast in California and your efforts will be welcomed and appreciated!
Amazing work, Randy. In under 24 hours, you've cracked the top 50 fundraisers for the event! And someone bought you a bike! I hope you have an awesome time.
@DSTgar Oh, you should think about contacting SLDN about some co-promotion: you're one of the faces (if not THE face) of DADT repeal. It would be great to have some official Armed Services recognition.
Well I know I don't get a tax break on a US charitable donation but it is a good cause and it appears that the donation page takes you to the charity directly. I'm alway a little suspicious of online donation requests.
Hate to say your followed are more into shallowness than what you're trying to accomplish with this. Not sure what showing your BF has to do with an AIDS Ride. What is your ultimate $ goal.
Randy, I justed donated and looked at the route on the main webpage. All I can say is wow! I kinda wish that I could be there to make sure you are ok and don't get injured. I guess that falls to your man. You're an inspiration. I will tell my friends and family and see if I can raise a little more money for you. Harry in PA.
Congrats on your decision of the bike ride and for raising money for a cause. The rewards from this will amaze you. The people you ride with and all along the route. A few years back I trained and ran with APLA in the Honolulu marathon. I'll never forget it. I'm a volunteer for your ride this year! Good luck! Peace, K
I luckily work for a group called Sensoa. Wich helps fight against HIV and AIDS and gives tips and hints over STD's and protection. I wear a red overal and pass out condoms for gay parties and such :P Of course this is a belgian organisation.
Hey Randy, Hit up Davey Wavey for donations! (Dude is making the muhlla these days). If I become employed before your ride I'll be happy to pitch in as well!
You will have a GREAT time My Hub. and I have done this ride for the past 5 years! Most of those years, both my Mom and Dad have also ridden with us. It’s going to change your life in a great way Promise! I am not ridding this year as I have a torn Rotator Cuff, but I am on the lunch crew this year so I will be serving you lunch every day, see you then. If you need any info or have any questions about the ride feel free write me back and ask.
This is by far your best video, since you are trying to influence others. I like how you started this channel for "selfish" reasons, but turned it around and made it altruistic.
My friends keep asking me to volunteer with them at this event, I should man up and do it. Count me in for a donation.

This reminds me so much of that episode of Queer as Folk where they ride from Portland to Toronto in bicycles ! and where Bryan insists on finishing the ride when he's actually super sick.

Amazing work, Randy. In under 24 hours, you've cracked the top 50 fundraisers for the event! And someone bought you a bike! I hope you have an awesome time.
DSTgar 1 month ago

Good luck! Peace, K

!f every person who views this video donates just $1, you could raise way more than $10,000. I'll do it!

Also, for people nervous about donating, you can do it in installment plans spread over months, which makes it much easier.

If you need any info or have any questions about the ride feel free write me back and ask.
tiggerbritter 1 month ago
This is by far your best video, since you are trying to influence others. I like how you started this channel for "selfish" reasons, but turned it around and made it altruistic.
My friends keep asking me to volunteer with them at this event, I should man up and do it. Count me in for a donation.
