One of the best psychedelic experience representations.
It's the "trip" world symbolized by virtual reality, not vice versa.
And the Other world, beyond our perception, exists like the matrix world and one can access it through own inward deepening.
The paradox is, that it seems unreal, but once you were there, nothing is the same and nowadays internet looks like a cheap chinese toy just as the ways in which we work with information.
I'm not saying, redpill is the only way, but it's democratic
The issues explored here are fascinating, but the scenario seems stupid. Why was their base so easily compromised? They should have had much better security or they would have died earlier.
@behrooz4 I get that time is limited, but their base's outer wall was literally several panes of glass windows that the machines just flew through. Why would you even need windows in this situation? To enjoy the pleasant, perpetually-sunless view? Plus, the whole thing is sitting at the top of a hill like an island resort clearly visible for miles.
@SpockCanYouSaveme Much like programs in the Matrix (the Oracle, the Merovingian, etc.) have their own minds, so too do machines. They removed some of the machine's programming and gave it a choice. It decided to help the humans, albeit too late. It's mind is now it's own, again, just like the Oracle or Merovingian's, and it's free to do what it wants.
@MrDaldagnuur No, the machine was never human. The point was to show that AI consciousness is just as "real" as human consciousness, and can either be free or enslaved. The robot's mind at the end was ironically freed by humans.
@existtraiesc The robot has become humanized and wants to interact with the woman and embrace the emotions they've programmed into it. But she freaks out and backs away, since they were only programming them to become tools, not playmates. And she dies of her wounds. The end scene shows the robot continuing the work of the humans.
@existtraiesc The runner perceives the world the humans gave it for reality, as it sees all reality in virtual form. Then, it unknowingly trapped the woman there, thinking it was saving her.
@PolonaiseNo6 Its a guy from a old movie. When he died in the film, he scream just like that. After this, directors begun to use this sond as a inside joke. Even Star Wars has this scream. Just do a rapid search on wikipedia and you can read the full story.
i dont think this will ever happen, we are smarter than that, if there is ever a robot revelion we would have a back up plan like a switch to turn off all the robots in the world or something like that, i know sometimes we can be stupid but not this stupid c'om...
@mrjeovanni45 if machines get to the point they can turn against humanity you can be sure shutting them off would be impossible, if they have AI smart enough to say i am not taking orders form what is an inferior being then they have the ability to disable any piece of software that would shut them down, that is the whole point of these movies is that when it gets to this point there is no way to stop it, life in any form, robotic or human will not be denied.
What a bullshit...

@LemonNation I guess they just had to fit in some kind of resolution in 9 minutes. You're right though. It's very frustrating...

Crappy animation style, interesting idea.
Seriously, this kind of animation makes me sick to my stomach, and that's saying something.
