Obama = The ONLY qualified candidate for president. He's the best Commander in Chief we've had in decades. He ended the war in Iraq and is working on an honorable withdrawal from Afghanistan. He's eliminated Bin Laden, Al-Awlaki, and dozens of other butchers who wake up every morning thinking of ways to kill Americans. Countries around the world admire his ethics. HE'S THE MOST EFFECTIVE ADVOCATE FOR THE AMERICAN WAY EVER! Go Obama!
USA People have to know...Osama is part of CIA and FBI ...and Osama is not death..that's just scenario of USA or Hollywood makers !!!! USA people, are you realy stupid or you just cower your eye's and you don't see nothing around you ???? Read more about that in You Tube site, and you will see terible true ????????????You Tube will explain you everything, not just BBC or CNN ??? They are the bigest liers on this planet ....?! Hear everybody on You Tube !!!
@Marinero479 Most of everyone forgot about osama bin laden, who did they kill in pakistan then, what was the stealth helocopter that crashed? hes dead, and its just a stupid myth that osama was even approached by the CIA, he was never under contract
@seon126 Are you claiming that bin laden was NOT associated with the CIA when he was considered A Mujahideen-Islamic freedom Fighter. Opposed to the Soviet Unions invasion of Afghanistan? Given Stinger missiles , armed and financed through Pakistan. And your PROOF of this alleged death is what ? I'd suggest Obama would fake the death of his own Mother to get reelected. I'd further suggest you have been duped > It's an election year .
@SethVandenberg I know all about the US directly supporting the Mujihadeen, We didint direclty support bin laden. The reason why we supported them is because the Soviet union supported north korea and the vietcong/NVA it was payback. There was an operation in pakistian, a stealth heliopter crashed, pakistian angry over the operation. what did they do in pakistain then?
@seon beg to differ. We didn't want the Soviet Union in Afghanistan.
Decided to TAKE Afg. in 95 [per Wesley Clark] it was also a method to drain the resources of the former USSR. I have seen no evidence of an operation in Pakistan other then animation of a helicopter crash, reenactments with night vision. A photo of the left rear side of someone watching TV. Dumping OBL's body in the sea ? THEN said alleged Seal Team being killed in a copter crash. Pak will fend anger 4 our billions in aid.
@TheShadowWarrior110 building did fall in like 9.4 second but that was still too fast!!anyway i know that 70% of the questions were not answered i know im right about that!!also can you explain me why did people said that they heard explosions!!!a lot of people said this(the police officers, people who were working in wtc etc....)!the janitor who used to work in wtc said that there was a big explosion only 7 seconds before the first tower was hit
@TheShadowWarrior110 buildings collapsed in free fall speed(less then 9 seconds)..you CAN NOT change the laws of physics!!!during the cold war russia couldn't make it through the defense system of usa but some 19 morons who didn't knew how to fly a plane did????also explain me why 70% of the questions by families were not answered by 9/11 commission
@LazarJokic Wow that's funny! I didn't know it was the cold war again, or that we had patriot missiles set up all around New York, or that they were flying civilian planes without anyone knowing. Oh and by the way they actually had extensive flight training. Ya............ You really suck.
@aldude100 you are right when it comes to training!!but on that day there were still about four f-16 protecting the sky of usa(because all other f-16 had a flight training)and please don't act like a little brat telling me that i suck.
@TheShadowWarrior110 also the building fell in less then 10 second(gravity is a bitch)!!!and only on that day fire melted steal...also if you didn't know most conspiracy theories do make sense..just do some research..
@TheShadowWarrior110 Just because we ask questions and do not believe in everything the gov. says-we are paranoid ignorant sheep!!!I'm sorry but do some research and just connect the dots and you will see that 9/11 was an inside job!!You wanna tell me that 19 terrorist took 4 planes and that they were able to knock down 3 building by 2 planes in nyc!?!??? come on now...don't tell me that you believe in that bullshit
This is wrong. I don't care if it was Hitler. I don't care if it was Attila the Hun. I don't care if it was Genghis Khan. You do not celebrate death. Bin Laden was a horrible person, and he deserved the worst penalty possible, but who are we to decide who lives and who dies? You don't have to mourn him, you don't have to shed a single tear for his death, but it is just wrong to be happy because someone is dead. Do that, and you are just as morally twisted as Bin Laden himself was.
@icecreamcancer you do realize that osama's death doesn't solve shit, nor is there any proof he even existed. and that it was america that started the war with iraq and not iraq starting the war? ah u americans, how u guys can easily be fooled by the media. i assume you believe the soldiers were fighting for your freedom ROFL. dumbasses chanting yew esss ay. if i was american i'd just shake my head
@Inacinta Good luck with that honey, last time I checked the Quran Allah doesn't help murderers. He will rot in hell, and your God won't look twice at him.
It's been awfully satisfying to see President Obama continue with much of George Bush's foreign policy. I'm not going to say Bush or Obama is the better President...I just know that both of them realise that fighting terrorism and removing dictators is an unfortunate but necessary thing to do. No other country out there can or will do the hard work for you (e.g. Europe can't and China won't).
Oh, and sucked in Osama bin Hiding. Typical extremist Muslim coward.
@richard20bris And yet it was only Bush who was categorically retarded enough to think fighting terrorism is best accomplished with ground invasions involving hundreds of thousands of troops. Trillions of dollars, thousands of lives spent in Iraq and Afghanistan and Osama is brought down by a special forces team in Pakistan.
1/10th the cost Iraq / Afghanistan could have quadrupled the U.S. intelligence, special forces, and domestic security budget for the last decade. It's insanity.
@Valyn66 as I'm not an American, I'm not particularly interested in HOW the Americans spend their money so much as what are the practical outcomes of those decisions. In a mere half a decade Iraq has been transformed from a dictatorship into a fledgling democracy. Meanwhile, Al Qaeda in Afghanistan are a spent force. The Taliban are less important, but will take longer and it will really be up to the Afghan police force and army to prevent them returning to power in the long run.
@richard20bris Iraq has been "transformed from a dictatorship into a fledgling democracy," did you really just say that with a straight face? Hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis died in the war; far more than Saddam Hussein ever could have hoped to kill in the twilight years of his regime.
P.S. Al-Qaeda funding and recruitment have EXPLODED since the invasions and that's a documented fact. The guys dying in the desert are expendable foot soldiers. The real threats are growing.
@richard20bris If you're going to concern yourself with the practical outcomes of U.S. policy decisions, it would be a commendable first step to educate yourself about the facts before posting.
In terms of practical outcomes, the invasions have directly lead to the deaths of well over a hundred thousand people and indirectly lead to the deaths of over a million more due to war zone dynamics and bombed infrastructure (as per the Lancet study).
@Valyn66 and I think you'll find that the "people" responsible for the vast, vast majority of innocent civilians (REAL civilians, that is) being killed are the insurgents and Al Qaeda....who were more than happy to kill their fellow Muslims if they believed they were helping Western forces in one way or another. You cannot blame anyone else for the actions of cowardly terrorists. Arabs/Muslims who commit such crimes know exactly what they are doing.
@richard20bris So what? You think the carnival of anarchy and murder over there was happening PRIOR to the invasions. Here's a free hint from someone who has actually spent time in the region: it didn't. I don't care who is at fault for the civilian deaths; the bottom line is over a million people have died as a result of the U.S. decision to invade.
This is the real world. You need to get out of your parents' basement and see it before you try and comment on it, because you look a fool.
@Valyn66 so you admit you don't care WHO is at fault for civilian deaths in Iraq? I see. What an interesting perspective. I suppose you also attribute blame for the deaths of any blacks killed during the civil rights movement by white racist groups suck as the KKK on the civil rights leaders? After all, they knew they were putting their followers in danger as a result of their actions, right?
I see that you're another leftie who also believes that Arabs are quite happy living under dictators.
@richard20bris Who is more dead? The guy killed by an errant U.S. bomb or the guy killed by Al-Qaeda insurgents trying to target American forces?
You are a child. And you desperately need to get out of your parents' basement.
Did the decision to invade cost over a million people their lives? Yes. Are the majority of those million people any less dead because they weren't directly killed by U.S. forces? No.
I shouldn't have to explain this. Your teachers did you a serious disservice.
@Valyn66 what's with all this "get out of your parents' basement" nonsense. I don't live at home. I'm starting to wonder if this mirrors your own personal circumstances rather than mine.
As to your Q, BOTH people are equally dead. However, you ignore the fact that insurgents and terrorists target such people DELIBERATELY, whereas American troops make every possible effort to AVOID civilian casualties. You will also never see a terrorist punished for a bombing that kills innocent civilians.
@richard20bris Again, who cares? So what? Are they any less dead?
This is why I assume you live in your parent's basement, as the content of your arguments reflect both the critical thinking skills and intellectual capacity of young, untraveled, video-gaming, child. That I'm (apparently) wrong about this is rather depressing, really, as you've now forced me to remind myself that adults as close-minded, unthinking, and blindly patriotic as your good self are prowling around voting. The horror.
@richard20bris P.S. You seem to think Al-Qaeda were running around murdering people in the streets prior to the invasions? Take it from someone who has spent and continues to spend a great deal of his time in the Middle East - they weren't.
Say what you want about Saddam Hussein and the Taliban but they kept their streets safe. That they were evil, murdering dictators cannot be denied, but removing their regimes from power was the responsibility of their people, not the United States.
@Valyn66 haha...quite a condescending attitude you have there. Never mind. I'm used to that coming (almost always) from the Left today.
Al Qaeda was quite busy murdering innocent people back in the 90s...well before 9/11 or Iraq and Afghanistan. Oddly enough, they hated America under Clinton just as much as Bush and Obama.
I'm not surprised to hear you admire dictators who keep the streets "safe" (for themselves). Mabye Bush should have shot all those who protested against him?
@richard20bris Yet again a substance-less comment. You really ought to consider thinking before you type sometime. P.S. Who said I'm on the Left?
Notice how you just skirt by all of my legitimate criticisms of the war. "Oh, well Al-Qaeda has been killing people since the 90's." Oh really? A million of them? In the streets of Iraq and Afghanistan?
I was pretty clear in calling those dictators "evil" and "murdering." As I said; you have no substance to the things you say. Nor evidence.
@Valyn66 Al Qaeda have been killing as many people as they possibly can, given they don't have unlimited resources. Bombing embassies, trains, buses, skyscrapers, all in the name of Islamic extremism and against everything the civilised world stands for (e.g. they're not too big on gay rights or sexual equality). I wonder why you're defending them?
Again, you refuse to apportion blame concerning civilian deaths in Iraq to the insurgents and terrorists who were responsible for them.
@richard20bris Certainly they're responsible for the majority of the direct deaths. The blame for the million indirect deaths due to war zone dynamics and bombed-out infrastructure rests solely with the United States and it's decision to invade.
This is puzzling. It's like you're incapable of understanding. Al-Qaeda was very, very bad. But not, "kill a million people, spend trillions of dollars, trash two countries," bad. Besides, Osama was killed by SEALs in Pakistan. Not the invasions.
@Valyn66 I don't believe one of the objectives of invading Iraq was to kill Osama bin Laden. I believe it was to do with a couple of UN sanctions that Saddam failed to comply with. Enforcing UN resolutions? How quaint.
I don't think Osama bin Laden would have been in such a vulnerable position if he had not had to flee Afghanistan (brave fellow). If they had killed him in Afghanistan, GREAT. However, since they found him in Pakistan, sending in the SEALS was completely appropriate.
So we invaded Iraq and killed a million people because of a..."couple of UN sanctions Saddam failed to comply with?" Okay, this has officially crossed the threshold of insanity. It's funny how those "UN Sanctions" weren't particularly played-up in Powell's Casus Belli speech. That was the dumbest argument in favor of the wars I've heard yet.
As I said, you need to get out of your house once in a while. An education also wouldn't go awry.
@richard20bris I'm thinking you need to lose a loved one to violence. Because you seem incapable of fathoming the sheer numbers of lives lost because of these invasions. If you spent your days trying to put innocent people back together after they experience the consequences of your little, "UN resolution enforcement," you'd think differently.
Right now you're speaking solely out of that special brand of ignorance that comes with arrogantly believing you understand a world you've never seen.
@Valyn66 what a charming thought from someone who apparently works for Medicines Sans Frontiers.
I can understand you being greatly upset, over innocent lives being lost. However, I'm not sure if you understand the difference between a terrorist organisation which kills soldiers and innocent civilians with equal delight (for the benefit of Islamic extremism) and an army which tried to avoid doing so as much as possible in their fight to overthrow tyrants & install democratic governments.
@richard20bris The point I'm trying to get through to you is that those millions of people, and their families, matter just as much as you and yours. So you're going to have to do a whole lot better than, "enforcing U.N. resolution" to justify their deaths.
I absolutely understand the difference. I've worked with plenty of soldiers from a variety of nations and, frankly, they're some of the most professional people you can work with. This is about the consequences of the decision to go to war.
@Valyn66 that's quite true, their deaths do matter. For instance, I know that if an Australian Prime Minister started using the military against his/her own people in order to crush all opposition all of us would literally be screaming for international intervention.
And yes, if the people can rise up that's ideal. However, is can't always occur (e.g. the Jews couldn't have saved themselves during WW2, nor the Muslims during the Bosnian wars).
@richard20bris I have read down through your comment exchanges with Valyn66. I noticed that you never resorted to personal insult, whereas Valyn66 resorted to ad hominem in almost every post trying to insult you or belittle your ability to render an opinion. I found him/her to be smug, sanctimonious, condescending and rude. She lost the debate on that alone, but you made many valid points whereas she relied on histrionic melodrama and arrogance. Kudos to you for not stooping to that level.
@1105Chance I'm still waiting for you to stop wasting your breath trying to paint me as "arrogant" and to start saying something of substance. Your opinion of my composure counts for precisely nothing, so you've managed to say nothing in 5 comments besides a categorically false assertion that Hussein's exile offer included transferring power to a Baathist regime member. It didn't.
@1105Chance "cop killing? Really? That's what your massively lacking intellect came up with? I guess your drug supply got cut off because your kid got busted or something? Dumbass."
-1105Chance
Hahahahahaha. On the topic of "Hypocrites..."
You just got your ass kicked by your own recent activity feed. How does it feel, moron?
@1105Chance cheers mate. What can I say? If your opponent is doing a good job sabotaging themselves, then let them. Valyn66's "you're too stupid to vote/offer an opinion" angle was a perfect example of one of the fastest how to alienate one's supporters. I notice he/she said something on your channel about his/her whole "ER department" laughing at you. Shouldn't they be operating on people? Well, maybe not "stuipd, ignorant" people like us :-P
@richard20bris Unfortunately there's a certain delay between shootings in which we need to entertain ourselves with the categorical stupidity of Youtubers.
Yeah, Chance1105 really made some good points. Shortly before revealing himself to be an utter hypocrite when it comes to his/her/its "web composure."
If you really think you won this debate, you're even dumber than I originally painted you. Mr. 1,000,000 deaths was worth it so Saddam didn't go into exile.
@richard20bris And you'll notice how the little bitch couldn't even come up with an argument of his own, aside from criticizing my "composure." I've been dancing intellectual circles around you this ENTIRE time and that's manifestly obvious to anyone with two brain cells to scrape together.
You've never even been to the area of the world we were discussing, and yet feel perfectly qualified to assert that "democracy" at the cost of millions of lives was some "boon." It wasn't.
@Valyn66 I don't think statements such as one by you would score highly when judged by a panel of intellectuals:
"Say what you want about Saddam Hussein and the Taliban but they kept their streets safe. That they were evil, murdering dictators cannot be denied..."
Way to contradict yourself, Val. To win a debate you at least have to remain consistent.
Now here you go again judging everyone's intelligence (or apparent lack of it) outside of a clinical setting. Very unprofessional.
@richard20bris And this is why I call you a moron. You completely misunderstand what I'm saying and then try to pass it off as a contradiction. Never once have I said Saddam OR the Taliban were "good people."
They did, however, keep enough law and order to prevent Al-Qaeda from killing people in the streets by the hundreds per day.
This is what I'm talking about. You don't even understand my arguments and you sound a complete fool because of it.
@richard20bris So really we're left with your final position:
1. Millions of people died in a war instigated by the United States, but it was a good thing because we deposed Saddam Hussein (Could have gone into exile) and removed the Taliban regime.
@Valyn66 no, my final position (briefly) is that your "one million" death toll is ten times more than is estimated by most reputable websites, and the majority of those deaths were caused by the Iranian backed insurgency and Al Qaeda in Iraq, both of which are virtually defeated. I also solely blame these two groups for the vast majority of civilian deaths in Iraq, because the "men" who joined these groups were responsible for their own actions.
@richard20bris False. I've already explained the difference between direct and indirect deaths to you. Read the Lancet study (the most reputable medical journal in Europe).
Those "men" were only able to kill men, women, and children because we smashed any sense of law and order in the country.
@Valyn66 the Lancet study includes the deaths of enemy forces (e.g. those fighting for Saddam, Al Qaeda, or Iran's defeated insurgency). I don't count those deaths because quite frankly those "people" deserved it.
Secondly, you say that as if Al Qaeda and Iran's insurgency had no choice but to wander into Iraq and start killing. They could just as easily have stayed at home. I'll say it again - Arabs'Muslims have perfectly good minds and are capable of making their own decisions.
@richard20bris The Lancet study also includes the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi deaths due to war zone dynamics and bombed out infrastructure IN ADDITION to violent deaths. This is the only study to do this, and is therefore the only legitimate source on "real war casualties."
Wander into Iraq? We invaded and CREATED an insurgency? How are you not getting this? Were hundreds of people dying every day before the invasions? No. After? YES ding ding ding.
@Valyn66 "Created" an insurgency? Did you see any US Generals issuing orders insurgents to "bomb this market/school/hospital?" My guess is you didn't, because Al Qaeda and the insurgency were completely the creation of certain Muslim extremists who chose to try and wreck Iraq.
The remnants of the armies of the Axis powers could have waged a similar campaign following the surrender by their leaders, but they chose not to. Unfortunately a different choices were made this time 'round.
@richard20bris The insurgency was formed as a result of United States troops being on the ground in these countries. AGAIN, this is why I call you a moron. You're incapable of understanding BASIC facts.
I'm not blaming the U.S. for anything more than the decision to go to war. A decision which created an insurgency and a decade of anarchy that has led to the deaths of over a million people. Get it?
@Valyn66 People have formed all sorts of awful groups in response to the worthwhile (or at least mostly worthwhile) actions of others. Look at the rise of groups like the KKK in the South of America following the end of the Civil War and the abolition of slavery. I do not hold President Lincoln or the Union responsible for the actions of irrational individuals. However, by your own reasoning, you would (i.e. there would be no need for the KKK to exist if slavery was not abolished).
@richard20bris That's a ridiculous comparison. South Africa is a perfect example of effective foreign policy sans military violence. We ended apartheid with political pressure and sanctions - not bombs.
So really all you did was just support my position there. Well done.
Comparing a military invasion of a foreign nation with ending segregation in the United States is logically absurd at best, and deliberately misleading at worst.
@richard20bris What is so hard to understand about this. Would those million people have died if we hadn't invaded? NO.
It doesn't MATTER who is responsible. We created the situation which lead to these deaths. Al-Qaeda are evil monsters, best countered with Special Forces (an empirically proven fact; remember Osama?) and drone strikes (KSM).
Get it through your thick skull. Those million people don't care about democracy and democracy is insolvent absent widespread education.
@Valyn66 America is no more responsible for the actions of terrorists than the allies were responsible for the actions of the armies of the Axis powers during WW2.
Finally, you seem to be very blase about the importance of democracy. Well, 100,000 lives lost is a heavy toll, but it pales in comparison to the numbers of lives lost in countries without democracy - such as in China's "Great Leap Forward" or the Soviet Gulags. Democracy saves lots (and LOTS!) of lives.
@richard20bris I have no problem with democracy. I have a problem with killing a million people to "free" them when they never asked to be bombed and freed. That's what you don't seem to get.
Have you ever spoken to ANYONE who lived in these countries before and after the invasions? Ever? No?
Then who the Hell are you to say they're better off minus a million family members because now they're "free."
@Valyn66 that's okay. Like I said before if you want to bring up the subject of the 100,000 or so civilian deaths as asserted by Iraq Body Count then please direct most of your criticism towards Al Qaeda and the Iranian-backed insurgency.
I don't know anyone from Iraq. However I have watched millions of Iraqis vote in two sets of democratic elections, proudly displaying their purple fingers...and cheered on by the Iraqi community in Australia too (& both our major political parties).
@richard20bris Oh so you've seen media broadcasts of people "proudly displaying their purple fingers" and that's your basis for expertise is it? You realize how stupid you sound, right?
@richard20bris Democracy depends on certain preconditions to be effective. Chief among those is education. Look up the rate of formal education in Iraq and Afghanistan.
You think there can't be tyranny in a democracy? Just wait and see what happens when the Muslim Brotherhood takes political control of the core of the Middle East.
And don't try and say we "overthrew tyrants and installed democratic governments" as some kind of justification for the invasions. If history has taught us anything it's that regimes rise and fall on the consent of those they govern; it's very possible Iraq would have undergone a transformation like the one happening in Egypt upon the death of Saddam Hussein (who was an old man in poor health at the time of the invasion).
Either way, you don't bomb a path to freedom. Especially unasked.
@Valyn66 No. I have been reading both of your comments and I notice that it is YOU that have an arrogant, condescending, sanctimonious attitude. I also notice that whereas you were not personally attacked, you frequently resorted to ad hominem, making your case for "education" and enlightenment rather weak and hypocritical.
My attitude has no bearing on the factual accuracy of my arguments. I don't suffer long-winded debates with obvious morons (a policy which applies equally to your good self).
@Valyn66 "this is puzzling, it's like you're incapable of understanding". Could you possibly come off any more smug? Do you actually think that wins any form of debate or discussion. Perhaps you could have used that space to more powerfully articulate your statements rather than resulting to petty (and transparently pretentious) rhetoric, NONE OF WHICH BY THE WAY CONSTITUTES "SUBSTANCE" to use your own criticism of richard20bris.
who is the guilty of all the world disasters??? Whic one is the umber one producer of shit like, hiphop, gansta niggers... Hillbillis ignorant dudes, britney spears.paris-hilton, Lindsay Lohan and all the other whores lovers???!!! cmon!!! who who ???!!! The answer at minute 0:25

@Spirit9Ahmedm9 I didn't say Islam teaches to blow up and kill people I said HE uses it as a escape goat to do any thing he want's. If He wasn't real then why do ALL people in the Middle East know about him? Oh ya that's right because they either meet him or heard about him. @richard20bris Think of it. A million people; more than Saddam or the Taliban could have killed in a decade if they tried.
So what did the invasions accomplish? Osama Bin Laden was killed by a special forces team in the middle of a country we send billions of dollars worth of aid. We certainly aren't safer, as the invasions have created a truly unprecedented number of newly impoverished, uneducated, civilians with every reason in the world to hate the United States.
Osama´s Dead... hahaha!!! who can really believe this... only a bunch of stupid US citizens... those , the same kind of people who really think that Osama Actually kidnapped those planes and ordered to his people to crush them on the WTC o the Pentagon... to all of those who say that capitalism has failed and that the united states have lost their position as the number one world power, not only i reply that they are wrong, but i add that it is just natural that a nation whose people are so united, without resulting in fanaticism, is predestined to be the ruler of the world
PEOPLE ARE SOOO IGNORANT!!!! PEOPLE CAN'T CHEER CUZ OF BIN LADENS DEATH!!! WHO KNOWS HE MADE A NEW LADER IN CHARGE TO HIS PLACE!! THEY CAN BOMB US EVEN MORE!!! IDK ABOUT YOU BUT I WOULDNT' BE HAPPY WHEN THERE'S STILL DANGER AND A WAR GOING ONNN!!!!
@hatred1821 well osama attacked us and we waited 10 years osama is finally dead this is a huge thing man everyone in the world is celebrating this not just us they got a new leader but now osamas men are starting to surrender they dont want to work for the new leader cuz hes an asshole and they wanted to fight for osama its been 10 years of fighting they are starting to break also we got osamas financial info won't be long before they go bankrupt and start killing each other
but if we just sit there and did nothing for the past 10 years what would of happend? we would of gotten attacked again...our allies would of become attacked etc
but now look at this we are winning the war and maybe like 2-3 years the war will be over obama says he will remove our troops in 2012 if the war is not over but we really need to win this war or they are just going to keep attacking us
they should have hung his bitch ass (and still kept him alive) as a pinata and on the 10th anniversary have the families of those who lost their lives whack the fuck out of him until he died
rio de Janeiro. I hope your nation now be relieved of the anxiety and disappointment of those 10 years. I cheer for all who support Al Qaeda are exterminated. And so much talk of conspiracy to shut up. In my country became a plague on the Internet. generated from your country. Idiots all of you your goverment worked with osama! sure george and osama where best friends no joke Kill a few thousand -excuse to invade the middle east for power and oil no war on terror.I really feel sorry for americans you are brainwashed into believing an evil terrorist killed 3000 people when in fact it was your own goverment who either did it or let it happen disgraceful.
@wowisuckatmath No everyone whos over 20 knows the bushes and osamas were good friends the osamas make many of america's weapons and i do have a life actually i'm just not stupid and believe whatever the media and goverments of the world tell me because nothing they say is true and if your curious i served in the military for 12 years since i was 20 in the Irish army in chad, lebanon and kosovo and trust me the media coverage on these place i metioned is lies.
I don't want to ask the Americans to FORGET about their loved ones (of course not!) but I just want to say that I will never FORGET about this. I simply think it isn't very fair.
How do people know that Osama Bin Laden planned about the Twin Tower crash? No one has proof. NO ONE REALLY COMPLETELY KNOWS. You can't change the past. The Americans already killed him before they had any CONCRETE or HARD proof.
all though i didnt like osama and i think he was a crack head for what he did but i dont think its cool to celebrate a guys death

Countries around the world admire his ethics. seon126 2 weeks ago
SethVandenberg 5 days ago
@SethVandenberg I know all about the US directly supporting the Mujihadeen, We didint direclty support bin laden. The reason why we supported them is because the Soviet union supported north korea and the vietcong/NVA it was payback. There was an operation in pakistian, a stealth heliopter crashed, pakistian angry over the operation. what did they do in pakistain then?
seon126 5 days ago
@seon beg to differ. We didn't want the Soviet Union in Afghanistan.
Decided to TAKE Afg. in 95 [per Wesley Clark] it was also a method to drain the resources of the former USSR. I have seen no evidence of an operation in Pakistan other then animation of a helicopter crash, reenactments with night vision. A photo of the left rear side of someone watching TV. Dumping OBL's body in the sea ? THEN said alleged Seal Team being killed in a copter crash. Pak will fend anger 4 our billions in aid.

Bin Laden was a horrible person, and he deserved the worst penalty possible, but who are we to decide who lives and who dies? You don't have to mourn him, you don't have to shed a single tear for his death, but it is just wrong to be happy because someone is dead.
Typical extremist Muslim coward.
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris And yet it was only Bush who was categorically retarded enough to think fighting terrorism is best accomplished with ground invasions involving hundreds of thousands of troops. Trillions of dollars, thousands of lives spent in Iraq and Afghanistan and Osama is brought down by a special forces team in Pakistan.
1/10th the cost Iraq / Afghanistan could have quadrupled the U.S. intelligence, special forces, and domestic security budget for the last decade. It's insanity.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 as I'm not an American, I'm not particularly interested in HOW the Americans spend their money so much as what are the practical outcomes of those decisions. In a mere half a decade Iraq has been transformed from a dictatorship into a fledgling democracy. Meanwhile, Al Qaeda in Afghanistan are a spent force. The Taliban are less important, but will take longer and it will really be up to the Afghan police force and army to prevent them returning to power in the long run.
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris Iraq has been "transformed from a dictatorship into a fledgling democracy," did you really just say that with a straight face? Hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis died in the war; far more than Saddam Hussein ever could have hoped to kill in the twilight years of his regime.
P.S. Al-Qaeda funding and recruitment have EXPLODED since the invasions and that's a documented fact. The guys dying in the desert are expendable foot soldiers. The real threats are growing.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@richard20bris If you're going to concern yourself with the practical outcomes of U.S. policy decisions, it would be a commendable first step to educate yourself about the facts before posting.
In terms of practical outcomes, the invasions have directly lead to the deaths of well over a hundred thousand people and indirectly lead to the deaths of over a million more due to war zone dynamics and bombed infrastructure (as per the Lancet study).
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 and I think you'll find that the "people" responsible for the vast, vast majority of innocent civilians (REAL civilians, that is) being killed are the insurgents and Al Qaeda....who were more than happy to kill their fellow Muslims if they believed they were helping Western forces in one way or another. You cannot blame anyone else for the actions of cowardly terrorists. Arabs/Muslims who commit such crimes know exactly what they are doing.
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris So what? You think the carnival of anarchy and murder over there was happening PRIOR to the invasions. Here's a free hint from someone who has actually spent time in the region: it didn't. I don't care who is at fault for the civilian deaths; the bottom line is over a million people have died as a result of the U.S. decision to invade.
This is the real world. You need to get out of your parents' basement and see it before you try and comment on it, because you look a fool.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 so you admit you don't care WHO is at fault for civilian deaths in Iraq? I see. What an interesting perspective. I suppose you also attribute blame for the deaths of any blacks killed during the civil rights movement by white racist groups suck as the KKK on the civil rights leaders? After all, they knew they were putting their followers in danger as a result of their actions, right?
I see that you're another leftie who also believes that Arabs are quite happy living under dictators.
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris Who is more dead? The guy killed by an errant U.S. bomb or the guy killed by Al-Qaeda insurgents trying to target American forces?
You are a child. And you desperately need to get out of your parents' basement.
Did the decision to invade cost over a million people their lives? Yes. Are the majority of those million people any less dead because they weren't directly killed by U.S. forces? No.
I shouldn't have to explain this. Your teachers did you a serious disservice.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 what's with all this "get out of your parents' basement" nonsense. I don't live at home. I'm starting to wonder if this mirrors your own personal circumstances rather than mine.
As to your Q, BOTH people are equally dead. However, you ignore the fact that insurgents and terrorists target such people DELIBERATELY, whereas American troops make every possible effort to AVOID civilian casualties. You will also never see a terrorist punished for a bombing that kills innocent civilians.
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris Again, who cares? So what? Are they any less dead?
This is why I assume you live in your parent's basement, as the content of your arguments reflect both the critical thinking skills and intellectual capacity of young, untraveled, video-gaming, child. That I'm (apparently) wrong about this is rather depressing, really, as you've now forced me to remind myself that adults as close-minded, unthinking, and blindly patriotic as your good self are prowling around voting. The horror.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@richard20bris P.S. You seem to think Al-Qaeda were running around murdering people in the streets prior to the invasions? Take it from someone who has spent and continues to spend a great deal of his time in the Middle East - they weren't.
Say what you want about Saddam Hussein and the Taliban but they kept their streets safe. That they were evil, murdering dictators cannot be denied, but removing their regimes from power was the responsibility of their people, not the United States.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 haha...quite a condescending attitude you have there. Never mind. I'm used to that coming (almost always) from the Left today.
Al Qaeda was quite busy murdering innocent people back in the 90s...well before 9/11 or Iraq and Afghanistan. Oddly enough, they hated America under Clinton just as much as Bush and Obama.
I'm not surprised to hear you admire dictators who keep the streets "safe" (for themselves). Mabye Bush should have shot all those who protested against him?
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris Yet again a substance-less comment. You really ought to consider thinking before you type sometime. P.S. Who said I'm on the Left?
Notice how you just skirt by all of my legitimate criticisms of the war. "Oh, well Al-Qaeda has been killing people since the 90's." Oh really? A million of them? In the streets of Iraq and Afghanistan?
I was pretty clear in calling those dictators "evil" and "murdering." As I said; you have no substance to the things you say. Nor evidence.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 Al Qaeda have been killing as many people as they possibly can, given they don't have unlimited resources. Bombing embassies, trains, buses, skyscrapers, all in the name of Islamic extremism and against everything the civilised world stands for (e.g. they're not too big on gay rights or sexual equality). I wonder why you're defending them?
Again, you refuse to apportion blame concerning civilian deaths in Iraq to the insurgents and terrorists who were responsible for them.
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris Certainly they're responsible for the majority of the direct deaths. The blame for the million indirect deaths due to war zone dynamics and bombed-out infrastructure rests solely with the United States and it's decision to invade.
This is puzzling. It's like you're incapable of understanding. Al-Qaeda was very, very bad. But not, "kill a million people, spend trillions of dollars, trash two countries," bad. Besides, Osama was killed by SEALs in Pakistan. Not the invasions.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 I don't believe one of the objectives of invading Iraq was to kill Osama bin Laden. I believe it was to do with a couple of UN sanctions that Saddam failed to comply with. Enforcing UN resolutions? How quaint.
I don't think Osama bin Laden would have been in such a vulnerable position if he had not had to flee Afghanistan (brave fellow). If they had killed him in Afghanistan, GREAT. However, since they found him in Pakistan, sending in the SEALS was completely appropriate.
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris A vulnerable position? Are you kidding?
So we invaded Iraq and killed a million people because of a..."couple of UN sanctions Saddam failed to comply with?" Okay, this has officially crossed the threshold of insanity. It's funny how those "UN Sanctions" weren't particularly played-up in Powell's Casus Belli speech. That was the dumbest argument in favor of the wars I've heard yet.
As I said, you need to get out of your house once in a while. An education also wouldn't go awry.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@richard20bris I'm thinking you need to lose a loved one to violence. Because you seem incapable of fathoming the sheer numbers of lives lost because of these invasions. If you spent your days trying to put innocent people back together after they experience the consequences of your little, "UN resolution enforcement," you'd think differently.
Right now you're speaking solely out of that special brand of ignorance that comes with arrogantly believing you understand a world you've never seen.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 what a charming thought from someone who apparently works for Medicines Sans Frontiers.
I can understand you being greatly upset, over innocent lives being lost. However, I'm not sure if you understand the difference between a terrorist organisation which kills soldiers and innocent civilians with equal delight (for the benefit of Islamic extremism) and an army which tried to avoid doing so as much as possible in their fight to overthrow tyrants & install democratic governments.
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris The point I'm trying to get through to you is that those millions of people, and their families, matter just as much as you and yours. So you're going to have to do a whole lot better than, "enforcing U.N. resolution" to justify their deaths.
I absolutely understand the difference. I've worked with plenty of soldiers from a variety of nations and, frankly, they're some of the most professional people you can work with. This is about the consequences of the decision to go to war.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 that's quite true, their deaths do matter. For instance, I know that if an Australian Prime Minister started using the military against his/her own people in order to crush all opposition all of us would literally be screaming for international intervention.
And yes, if the people can rise up that's ideal. However, is can't always occur (e.g. the Jews couldn't have saved themselves during WW2, nor the Muslims during the Bosnian wars).
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris I have read down through your comment exchanges with Valyn66. Valyn66 3 months ago
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 I don't think statements such as one by you would score highly when judged by a panel of intellectuals:
"Say what you want about Saddam Hussein and the Taliban but they kept their streets safe. That they were evil, murdering dictators cannot be denied..."
Way to contradict yourself, Val. To win a debate you at least have to remain consistent.
Now here you go again judging everyone's intelligence (or apparent lack of it) outside of a clinical setting. Very unprofessional.
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris And this is why I call you a moron. You completely misunderstand what I'm saying and then try to pass it off as a contradiction. Never once have I said Saddam OR the Taliban were "good people."
They did, however, keep enough law and order to prevent Al-Qaeda from killing people in the streets by the hundreds per day.
This is what I'm talking about. You don't even understand my arguments and you sound a complete fool because of it.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@richard20bris So really we're left with your final position:
1. Millions of people died in a war instigated by the United States, but it was a good thing because we deposed Saddam Hussein (Could have gone into exile) and removed the Taliban regime.
And that's why you're an idiot.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 no, my final position (briefly) is that your "one million" death toll is ten times more than is estimated by most reputable websites, and the majority of those deaths were caused by the Iranian backed insurgency and Al Qaeda in Iraq, both of which are virtually defeated. I also solely blame these two groups for the vast majority of civilian deaths in Iraq, because the "men" who joined these groups were responsible for their own actions.
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris False. I've already explained the difference between direct and indirect deaths to you. Read the Lancet study (the most reputable medical journal in Europe).
Those "men" were only able to kill men, women, and children because we smashed any sense of law and order in the country.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 the Lancet study includes the deaths of enemy forces (e.g. those fighting for Saddam, Al Qaeda, or Iran's defeated insurgency). I don't count those deaths because quite frankly those "people" deserved it.
Secondly, you say that as if Al Qaeda and Iran's insurgency had no choice but to wander into Iraq and start killing. They could just as easily have stayed at home. I'll say it again - Arabs'Muslims have perfectly good minds and are capable of making their own decisions.
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris The Lancet study also includes the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi deaths due to war zone dynamics and bombed out infrastructure IN ADDITION to violent deaths. This is the only study to do this, and is therefore the only legitimate source on "real war casualties."
Wander into Iraq? We invaded and CREATED an insurgency? How are you not getting this? Were hundreds of people dying every day before the invasions? No. After? YES ding ding ding.
It was our decision.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 "Created" an insurgency? Did you see any US Generals issuing orders insurgents to "bomb this market/school/hospital?" My guess is you didn't, because Al Qaeda and the insurgency were completely the creation of certain Muslim extremists who chose to try and wreck Iraq.
The remnants of the armies of the Axis powers could have waged a similar campaign following the surrender by their leaders, but they chose not to. Unfortunately a different choices were made this time 'round.
richard20bris 2 months ago
@richard20bris The insurgency was formed as a result of United States troops being on the ground in these countries. AGAIN, this is why I call you a moron. You're incapable of understanding BASIC facts.
I'm not blaming the U.S. for anything more than the decision to go to war. A decision which created an insurgency and a decade of anarchy that has led to the deaths of over a million people. Get it?
No, no you probably don't.
Sigh.
Valyn66 2 months ago
@Valyn66 People have formed all sorts of awful groups in response to the worthwhile (or at least mostly worthwhile) actions of others. Look at the rise of groups like the KKK in the South of America following the end of the Civil War and the abolition of slavery. I do not hold President Lincoln or the Union responsible for the actions of irrational individuals. However, by your own reasoning, you would (i.e. there would be no need for the KKK to exist if slavery was not abolished).
richard20bris 2 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@richard20bris That's a ridiculous comparison.
You'll have to do better than that.
Valyn66 2 months ago
@richard20bris What is so hard to understand about this. Would those million people have died if we hadn't invaded? NO.
It doesn't MATTER who is responsible. We created the situation which lead to these deaths. Al-Qaeda are evil monsters, best countered with Special Forces (an empirically proven fact; remember Osama?) and drone strikes (KSM).
Get it through your thick skull. Those million people don't care about democracy and democracy is insolvent absent widespread education.
Valyn66 2 months ago
@Valyn66 America is no more responsible for the actions of terrorists than the allies were responsible for the actions of the armies of the Axis powers during WW2.
Finally, you seem to be very blase about the importance of democracy. Well, 100,000 lives lost is a heavy toll, but it pales in comparison to the numbers of lives lost in countries without democracy - such as in China's "Great Leap Forward" or the Soviet Gulags. Democracy saves lots (and LOTS!) of lives.
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris I have no problem with democracy. I have a problem with killing a million people to "free" them when they never asked to be bombed and freed. That's what you don't seem to get.
Have you ever spoken to ANYONE who lived in these countries before and after the invasions? Ever? No?
Then who the Hell are you to say they're better off minus a million family members because now they're "free."
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 that's okay. Like I said before if you want to bring up the subject of the 100,000 or so civilian deaths as asserted by Iraq Body Count then please direct most of your criticism towards Al Qaeda and the Iranian-backed insurgency.
I don't know anyone from Iraq. However I have watched millions of Iraqis vote in two sets of democratic elections, proudly displaying their purple fingers...and cheered on by the Iraqi community in Australia too (& both our major political parties).
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris Oh so you've seen media broadcasts of people "proudly displaying their purple fingers" and that's your basis for expertise is it? You realize how stupid you sound, right?
Valyn66 3 months ago
@richard20bris Democracy depends on certain preconditions to be effective. Chief among those is education. Look up the rate of formal education in Iraq and Afghanistan.
You think there can't be tyranny in a democracy? Just wait and see what happens when the Muslim Brotherhood takes political control of the core of the Middle East.
Valyn66 3 months ago
And don't try and say we "overthrew tyrants and installed democratic governments" as some kind of justification for the invasions. If history has taught us anything it's that regimes rise and fall on the consent of those they govern; it's very possible Iraq would have undergone a transformation like the one happening in Egypt upon the death of Saddam Hussein (who was an old man in poor health at the time of the invasion).
Either way, you don't bomb a path to freedom. Especially unasked.
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 Actually, Hussein's thug brother was in line to take Saddam Hussein's place.

1105Chance 3 months ago
My attitude has no bearing on the factual accuracy of my arguments. I don't suffer long-winded debates with obvious morons (a policy which applies equally to your good self).
Valyn66 3 months ago
@Valyn66 "this is puzzling, it's like you're incapable of understanding". Could you possibly come off any more smug? Do you actually think that wins any form of debate or discussion. Perhaps you could have used that space to more powerfully articulate your statements rather than resulting to petty (and transparently pretentious) rhetoric, NONE OF WHICH BY THE WAY CONSTITUTES "SUBSTANCE" to use your own criticism of richard20bris.

@Spirit9Ahmedm9 You do know that those photos are real photos right. The reason why he doesn't have his beard as long is because he shaved it to help hide is identity. Ya that right Bin Laden was a CIA agent that went around attacking OTHER country's in the name of Islam....ya that makes SOOO much sense. I feel "soz" for people like you because you only make your self's sound like idiots. I mean look at you; how can you say your educated when you cant even spell sorry right.

Spirit9Ahmedm9 3 months ago
@Spirit9Ahmedm9 I didn't say Islam teaches to blow up and kill people I said HE uses it as a escape goat to do any thing he want's. If He wasn't real then why do ALL people in the Middle East know about him? Oh ya that's right because they either meet him or heard about him. And I never said this was a English Essay, i'm just making a point on how you call "us" Americans stupid yet here you are, not being able to write English properly. So go back and play your PS3 you nerd.

Do you wear your tinfoil hat all the time, or only when you're on your computer?
What operating system do you use? Surely not Windows or IOS. Wouldn't trust something those "dumb Americans" made, would we?
richard20bris 3 months ago
@richard20bris Think of it. A million people; more than Saddam or the Taliban could have killed in a decade if they tried.
So what did the invasions accomplish? Osama Bin Laden was killed by a special forces team in the middle of a country we send billions of dollars worth of aid. We certainly aren't safer, as the invasions have created a truly unprecedented number of newly impoverished, uneducated, civilians with every reason in the world to hate the United States.

to all of those who say that capitalism has failed and that the united states have lost their position as the number one world power, not only i reply that they are wrong, but i add that it is just natural that a nation whose people are so united, without resulting in fanaticism, is predestined to be the ruler of the world
