I have an invention that would make us even more technologically advanced as human beings, but I am afraid to submit it because it can be used against Innocents. I am not a citizen of the US, but I do like it so much and respect but seeing people being killed within everyday by the US military make me hesitated to give it away.
Greetings Mr. Knight, Excellent video's on patent's.
I have a question for you. I have an Idea that combines 2 existing products. For example, combining a helicopter with a car and calling it a helacar. Is this patenable? and if so how would you draw that.
Now what if someone wanted to use your design but instead use a belt (chain, rubber or some other material) instead of the gear system to rotate the cylinder? Or let's just say they wanted to improve your design; would they be able to patten that?
Only if it was considered a significant improvement and have novelty in its own right. In other words, probably not with respect to your question, but in some cases, where a significant improvement occurs, it can be patented.
