Nice cover.. I find I can get an awesome tone for kill em all all the way through to black.. load and reload are hard to get a tone for. Everything I do sounds too heavy. Is it as simple as winding back the overdrive a bit? Or did they change their set up quite a bit? Apart from the tuning that is. It sounds almost more cruncy in some songs..

I play those albums with exactly the same effects as I use on the older albums. I find it works well for me. Obviously, it depends on what effects you're using though.

Yeah, I use wah on the solo but you can get away with playing it without one. If you're really looking for the Hammett effect to the solo though, play it with plenty of Wah Wah if you have one.

The tattoo says MCMLXXVIII which is Roman numerals for 1978 (the year of my birth). And yes, I use EMGs on everything I've got. I think an 85 and an 81 if I remember correctly. The active one in the neck position for a nice clean one and the passive one in the bridge for a good chunky sound.

Cheers for the response. That is an ESP Eclipse. A cool guitar. I've had the pickups customised too by having an EMG 89 put in the neck position. Well worth it. You're obviously not a Liverpool fan though, ha, lol!!!
