I 100% agree that food is certainly used as a coping mechanism. Well documented phenomenon in mental/behavioral health.
some interesting points in the video however some of the claims are untrue. the body can emote and digest at the same time. we become addicted to certain foods because they mimic neurochemical aspects of emotions and cause cravings as such. thus the two are interconnected.
