I just learned about this today. Thank you for this articulate response to Creflo Dollar. Sometimes you get people who rant, curse and rave and the message is lost. But, your words are powerful. What got my goat about Creflo Dollar telling the Eddie Long former parishioners to not come to his church brought this question to mind. "Since when did the church become Creflo's?" I always thought that the church belonged to Christ. That alone made me realize that Creflo Dollar thinks he is a god.

Never joined his church -- was never going to -- but I liked his message of prosperity and had visited the church several times. As for what Creflo Dollar is saying, he's correct. Just because a man has sinned, doesn't mean that God has cast him out of Heaven. If that were the case, then the Bible is inaccurate and the teachings of Christ is flawed... all a myth.

The issue I take with Dollars message was not because he was defending his friend, it was because he did not teach the difference in sin (error) and sin (perpetual)
I believe Dollar use of the word "wreck" is very misleading to his congregation and here's why.
There is error sin and perpetual conscious sin. A "wreck" would be error sin and not perpetual concious sin which IMO is sin unto death

Never joined his church -- was never going to -- but I liked his message of prosperity and had visited the church several times. However, AS SOON AS I watched the video of him defending Eddie Long (because that's what it was), everything I had for Creflo immediately and completely turned off. And I've never looked back. WOW!! Praise God!! Something similar happened in my old church over 10 years ago and the scandal hurt me so bad spiritually that it is difficult to trust any one. I am still trying to heal spiritually and am learning along the way to focus on God and not on man. @02camry: It isn't down talk and yes people need to understand or at least TRY to understand both sides! When this went down everyone was calling the boys the "devil' and trying to bring down the kingdom. As someone that works with victims, this is why so many NEVER want to tell because it's always one sided. I like a lot of Bishop Longs teachings, HOWEVER if you have an inner issue that you need to deal with...DEAL WITH IT! It doesn't mean God didn't call him, just deal with SELF FIRST!

@aprilmasontv Then remember, one of the boys just got caught with marijuana, and many people that I know, actually know him personally. "He's one of the most disrespectful people I've ever met," is what a lot of them say. So that raises some eyes IMO. But I understand where you are coming from.

WHERE THE BOYS OF AGE WHEN THE INCIDENT HAPPENED? IF SO, THEY KNEW WHAT WAS HAPPENING AND KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING!!! ALL OF THEM ARE GAYYYYY!!!!!! THEY GOT MAD WHEN HE STARTED PAYING MORE ATTENTION TO OTHER YOUNG MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE WAY I SEE IT!!!
