@FIFArock as long as their of descent quality it should be fine. Some cheaper eBay brand headlights can warp or distort occasionally and may let water in.
I want to buy new headlights for my truck but the specs say please use stock light bulb for installation.. I currently have the 8000k hid kit on my stock headlights. Will the new clear headlights melt or something? Or can they withstand the heat of the bulbs?
i have an 02 altima could i do say a 12000k dim light and a 8000k bright light when i turn on the brights they are both on at the same time so it would have to different colored would that be to bright
6k is ideal as far as having both color and good light output. But if your looking for more of a blue light go for 8k. Anything higher puts out less light and is more on the blue/purple side.
Guys so basically 8K is aqua blue, 10K is Blue ( my favorite :) and 12K is Purple? correct? because i look at different vids and everywhere is different.
@Emil1787 actually there is the color temperature : 3000K= yellow 5000k=OEM white 6000K=diamond white 8000k=iceburg blue 10000k= brillant blue 12000k=violet blue 30000k=pink / violet ... but for better light output 6000k is the best for visibility
I will be putting up a new video soon of my new light set up in my Mazda 6. Custom LED tail lights, parking lights, 6k in the headlights and 4300k in the fogs.
ok Bro ! I bought a set for 9004 for a Maxima but only turns on when i switch lights to high, cause i'm not sure if those only for low beam or for both ,but in low only is on ! as a normal foggy yellow light, thank u for any advice !!
It's funny how people say ricer and shit like that, but what about all the luxury vehicles that come with 6 and 8K hids stock, I guess it's ok only if we spend 40,000 on a vehicle huh.
at least one of those cars is smart and has projectors...people are always saying they get pulled over for thr Hids...go out and buy some projectors and you wont distract drivers nearly as much
nevamind i just got my 12000 k and put em in my projectors today its real nice at night time cant see as good as da ones in my moms car thoes dem are 6000 k
i got 8k in my car and its the BEST, its a nice deep color but still has enough light output so u can see well, the only thing is that it sucks really bad in rain, so if it rains alot by u go 6K otherwise 8K is the way to go...
@rayadiktotx--- maybe the world would be better off if he'd run over some cracker redneck in your hood... oh, wait; I guess you should keep ur eyes on the road the next time you walk across ur hick street. U must be on ur period or something cause it sounds like ur mad at urself.
No, the blue color does not hurt your eyes. 4300k is the easiest to see because it most closely resembles natural daylight, also being the brightest bulb type in the spectrum. 8000k is a deep blue in which i have no trouble seeing with. 6000k is a little more on the whiter side with a little less color than the 8000k. So I'd you want the brightest and easiest to see i would get something between 4300-6000k.
did your co-worker with the Saab have halogens in there projectors before you installed the HIDs? Did you have to adjust the beams on the Saab after installing the HID kit? I received my HID kit in the mail a week ago and am taking my Saab 9-3 to the dealership to get the Tech II programmed to Xenon mode. I bought a 35W 4500K.
I wanted the deep blue lights. I had 12s but whiched to 1000k cause they were purple. Then the 1000k were blue but not a blue as i wanted, they were more like a light blue. do u think 8ks will give off the blue im looking for?
was there glare on the Saab 9-3 or was it the camera lens? I want to put a xenon conversion kit on my 2005 Saab 9-3 that came with halogens. Is the Saab your car? Do you ever have other people on the road flickering there brights at you?
No glare at all on the saab, the car belongs to a co-worker of mine and I think the glare was just from the camera. I was only using an older sony digital camera for the video. The only thing with the saabs is that you have to bring the car to the dealer to have it reprogrammed to "xenon mode" to make the car run the proper voltage to the hid bulbs, or your hid bulbs will go out after about a day or so. I have only encountered this issue with Saabs! THey are not the easiest cars to deal with..
hey what color do you recomend i have a jeep liberty i recently bought 10000k for it i was extremly happy with them but one of my ballast gave out in three weeks so i wanna buy either the 10000k again or the 12000k which one do you recomend
dude you post the same shit on everybodies vids. i have 15k and are as bright as i need them. so who cares what you think. plus the blue if for looks not "visibility, and safety". i have 15000k in my headlights and 2500k in my foglights. and i see perfectly
Screw 4300k! Have you ever taken into consideration that not everyone buys HID's for light output. Some buy them because they're stylish. I have 8000k bi xenon are they are bright as hell. I think 8k, 10k, & 12k are the best. 10k & 12k might not be as bright as 4300k or 6k, but they look badass.
i just ordered 12k hid's for my Infiniti I35...is Apexi a good brand...I got them for $50....and are they going to look like the ones in this video? I like the purple tintish color...
i had a question, which one is better for the road?, i had a 6500k but they are in the last so i have to get a new bulbs which one is better 8k vs 10k thanks
very simple plug and play, only takes about half an hour.. theres no need for any relays, grounding, or wiring to the battery. The unit also has protection against reverse polarity and is fully weather proof.

They are from Xtralights. Theyre 35W kits. did not remove the headlights for the install, although the passenger side was a little trickier because of the tight space.
sup man, i'm looking into getting HID's for my 07 mazda 6 as well and i have a few questions. 1. what brand did you go with & what wattage ex. 35 or 55? 2. was the install hard with the baking of the headlights and such? 3. how long did it take you
8000к is better
