Don't insult my intelligence. That is NOT typical of a gasoline engine. A well tuned and maintained gas 2-cycle will always start in 3 pulls or less. It's not that difficult. Spilling massive amounts of gas does NOT happen if you take the slightest care. Plus, unless you dangerously (and in some cases, illegally) refill your own disposable propane canisters, the fuel for these will cost much more. I get 7 hours run time out of a $3.50 gallon, you get 2 hours run time out of an LP canister.

Few things have more explosive power than gasoline. Gas vapors are some of the most dangerous explosives on earth. Much more powerful than gun powder.
The Propane in a metal tank is much safer than the plastic tank the gas mix uses. Also, you don't have a leaking fule can hanging around for the dogs or kids to get into.
