well read the NOBLE QURAN and then talk because in surat AL NUH Allah awt says that DHIKR is the highest form of worship so before you judge do your research they obviously have .....
Veiledtreasure has missed some key issues here. First and foremeost 'Sufis' were baround during the time of the holy prophet (SAW) they derive from the group known as the 'Ahlus-sufa'. Secondly, Allah (Sub) alludes to, in a very sublte way towards following sufis and walis in surah Kahf in the incidents between Sayyidina Musa and Khizr.
Veiledtreasure, may Allah give you understanding, if we do not seek help from any of Allah's creation, then stop going to the doctor when your sick, since Allah is the real healer wait in bed for Allah to heal you. in the same way the dr is a means to healing and not the healer, a wali (saint) is the means to guidance and not guidance itself.
Its funny how all Sufis use the doctor as an example. I'm glad you did because now we can clear up what the real truth of the Quran is..AllahSWT says if you do not understand something in the Quran ask a man who knows?
A doctor is an expert in his field, the Quran is full of sciences, maths, the Arabs invented algebra from it and perfected the Arabic language, astronomy, geology, embryology and so on. So when the Quran says consult someone who knows he means the expert in each field to discover whether its true. Not some Sufi born in a village with no real education who is going to tell you he descended from the Prophet therefore he is an expert??
@veiledtreasure Just like when you move on a path in a strange land you seek guidance of those who already know the place, Sheikh is important. Sheikh himself had been through it, n know about the good and dangers involved on this path. Just like there is a teach of Shariah, there are teachers of "Tassawaf"
should we as muslims be seeking help from others or Allah?
Just think about these bros and sistas...plse
A) (The Book of Peacemaking)
Hadith No. 2523 - Narrated Aisha:
"Allah's Apostle said, "If somebody innovates something which is not in harmony with the principles of our religion, that thing is rejected." (Sahih Al-Bukharee)...
that sufis weren't around the time of the prophet Muhammed, neither after his death and during the time of the companions-so where did the sufis and they're ideologies come from?
and if they weren't around the time of the prophet-then should they then be followed...as guides/saints????
somebody once told me a story to show the seriousness of following others and what it can lead too...
once the Prophet (s.a.w.) left his shoes outside the masjid to go and pray, when he finished he went outside to retrieve his shoes...to his shock he found them missing...
he than asked some of his companions...as to who might have taken his shoes...and one replied a sufi might have taken it.....
although u may have guessed the story isn't true-but what the underlining issues are...sadly
Nessatulcakeume, I did not know you were living during the time of our master and most distinguished human prophet Muhammad (pbuh). You must be a very old person with an amazing memory!

As Allah says...
"Say (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ), "Produce your proof if you are truthful." (Al-Baqarah 2:111) "
-is there grounds on the quran and sunnah (authentic) to follow 'saints'?

Can I just ask, is this according to sunnah? Puzzle?

No it's not. I don't recall any of Muhammad's closest friends doing this during his lifetime OR after.

Same could be said to you Sufi92, how do you know the Prophet(PBUH) did do these things. You too must be very old???
The only thing that is real that exists for us from that time, from the Prophet is the Quran and that does not tell us to do these things??
