Back off, it doesn't hurt to pull a harmless prank from time to time, and yes it scares them, but it isn't unhealthy. It can also teach children not to take themselves to seriously, and to be able to look back and have a laugh at themselves, which isn't bad. But mainly it isn't harmful, children get scared all the time, i guess i just don't see why it can't be funny for us as well :D
