Petards are no more than exciting target practice for a couple squads of longbowmen in defensive mode. Especially after they're fully upgraded w/ fletching n bodkin arrows n whatever it was that helped your ranged weapons always hit moving targets. It was radical, like the qin army from the movie hero ( storm storm storm! Fwoosh!)

Great upload, but I've still yet to find the track I'm looking for. Not sure if it was from AoE2 or The Conquerors, but it began with an Oriental instrument of some sort, a fiddle; it played for a while by itself, then it led into the whole drumbeat thing. Wish I could find it!

@DecmanReturns there is one song in the DEMO soundtrack that never got released in the full version and you can only find it in the demo. It's actually one of my favorites as well. :\

@Huntito In Campaign you might need them, I do hate them aswell, but to blow up a castle they're faster than a ram... That's a good point, the bad thing is: they cost alot in exchange what they do... For taking down castles I always prefer rams and trebuchets though... But, if you hate to use them, some players know how to use them and smack down your defenses, also a reason to hate them! XD

Ah yes, the good old days.. But this was my first computer game ever and it was AWESOME! The graphics are lower end compared to todays technology but I don't give a shit.It was the story and the game itself that made it one of my favorites. Especially when I didn't have the money for a large computer.
