  • The beauty of the blues: people of the world unite to share their most profound feelings and in this case how sweet the sound! Thanks for posting this little jem!

  • Very good!

  • Smokin! Play it young man! Peace

  • put your video on my new site facebook(concours guitare solo)

  • good work fellow!

sorry i don't google... but... got the 339 a sustain block or is it a hollow semi?

    sounds like sustain block. :)

    rock on!

  • That's my next guitar. Except in red. You inspired me.

  • Hi skydog,

    Hi skydog,

keep up the good work. Great playing. I play a little guitar myself.

I'm from Holland and I haven't played electric guitar for years. I started again and this is one of my favourite blues songs of all times. I like your impression very much.

  • Awesome playing, I would love to spend some time in some lessons with you. I been playing I'm sure lots longer than you have and I can't even come close to that, you have a natural talent my friend.

  • @harmonycostal Well, I've heard your playing and singing and you sound DAMNED good to me!!!

  • nice vibrato!

  • I love your playing man, its really great lots of feel and groove thanks

  • @moth716 Thank you so much!!!

  • .i thought you have a great tone nice feel and good grasp of the blues..it does get a bit monotnous, so i sometimes play outside the box so to speak, you can throw in some of those notes as you tie it back w/ the traditional riffs & notes i def hear a bit of Duane & Dickey, Duane has been my fav player since i started picking , how do you like your es? i have been drooling over the idea of that or an es-359. ps don't forget about eric, srv & Jimi they have some great blues in them.

  • I thought your playing is pretty darn good. Forget the knit pickers...if you love it just do it.

  • Out of all the great people on utube who take the time to show us their chops, this guy taught me more and gave me more inspiration to play than anyone.

    thanks..

  • @filolovejoy This is one of the nicest compliments I've ever gotten. Thank you so much!!!

  • Nice thick sound and solid improvisation. No fear, no rushing, so lots of feeling.

  • Hey man, just wondering how that 339 stacks up against your other guitars. I own a strat but I want to buy a les paul, sg or 339 but will not be able to try them out for a while. I am most interested in the 339 and am into green, 3 kings, bloomfield, santana, allman brothers, james brown, etc. Thanks man, great playin by the way

  • i think it sounds great, made me get my guitar out and jam along.

  • outstanding lick at 3:26. you seem to be into it totally from then on

  • work on those runs man, your hammers and pull offs really need to alot smoother. your playing will be pure sex when you can do that

  • @jengasfrerer Hey ok man...thanks for the tip....anything else I should bone up on?

  • Badass. Nice job dude.

  • Its freshhhh

  • nice. I liked it.

  • Hi Skydog!!! wonderful playing. this is what I call blues!!! I'd like to buy a 339 'couse les paul is to expensive to me? what do you think about this hollow body? I like playing blues exploring rock territories. Thanks for the attention and have a nice summer...Cheers

  • Is not Bluesly enough.

  • @sintrophobia// fuck off, its bb king, what are you on? you arent know shit done you dickhead,

  • @nuttercore Listen from 2:30 in the end, then tell me if that is the style of BB King... Thank you for the compliments, i think the same things of you, Strunz.

  • @sintrophobia// course i have listened all fucking playing. is that even matter? he just was jamming and you fucking said something idiotic you twat.

if that is not blues then what is it?

the bloody point is, can you even fuckin play blues like how he did?

if you can't, shut your fucking cock sucking mouth you fucking prick

  • @nuttercore Ahahahah nice to meet you too!!!

Bye man, see you never more.

  • @sintrophobia// lol it was nice to talking to you. well, i was swearing at you. lol

  • @sintrophobia Usually when I am just kind of jamming....I do all manner of licks, not just blues....mostly to get my chops up and get my hand nice and loose....I have arthritis pretty bad. Thanks for listening tho.

  • @skydog46 Unluckly i have a similar problem, i know what it does.

Sincerely until 2:30 i have listened BB King, after, you have gone on another way, surely no a Blues way, you agree with me i think, so there isn't problem for us, is it?

    Greetings from Italy.

  • @sintrophobia: not Bluesly enough.?

    this is just pure feeling

  • hey this is Marty Shwartz. I'm going to have to ask you to take this down. You're playing too good.

  • i can tell youve looked at the marty shwartz lessons here on youtube

  • @MrAlfredocolon Boy how did you know?......

    Btw. Who's Marty Shwartz?

  • @skydog46 lmao hes some guy who gives lessons for rockongoodpeople i think. hes kinda chubby, wears cool hats most of the time. you used a lot of his licks. it might just be me hearing things though

  • @MrAlfredocolon Have you ever thought that maybe he got the licks from me?

  • @skydog46 lmao that would be cool

  • @skydog46 Marty Shwartz is the guy who taught BB how to play

  • @skydog46 That's the man that's teaching the whole world how to play guitar.

He made me pick up my guitar again and now i'm playing daily for 2 years.

  • this is the best!

  • nice

  • Incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking 339 guitars were bigger, like the 335

  • GREAT THRILL here, man !!!

    *****

    Kurt

  • What are you using for your backing track work? I've seen this a lot on youtube, good backing tracks to record and play to. I love your tone. I also have the 339.

  • lol READ DESCRIPTION :p

  • I like the clear but powerful tone.

  • Blues guitar playing is supreme!

  • @Gondin1 Thanks very much!!!

  • Love the 339..Great tone and great playing..Rolland from JBGI..Keep jamin'!!!

  • Damned pure and clean. man. Very nice.

  • Thanks very much!!!!

  • Fuk yeah !

  • Backing track of Equinox! : )

  • I like your hat bro...ha

  • Dan your in the zone man! Your playing seems to be taking on a little bit of different style, very tasteful,a bit more reserved-I really dig it . Great tone. Cheers

  • Dan,

I have to agree, man. This is one of the best. It had more "direction", if you will. And your repetoir (sp?) is growing. Thanks man, I'll keep watching. Maybe one day I'll grow a big enough pair to post a vid!

  • What made u wanna get the Les Pauls and Gibsons, instead of any other guitar??

  • Great tone - picked up one of those last year myself, but you make it sound better than I, lol

  • This amazing I love that tone so much. Sounds great! What type of pickups are in there?

  • '57 Classics!!!

  • I love the 57 Classics. I have a ES 135 with a pair, I have to say the 135 may be the biggest sleeper model Gibson ever made they're cheap and great. Love the 57's. Great playing, great tone and phrasing.

  • great playing Dan,as always you are a great inspiration and a joy to listen to

    cheers Andy Voon

  • Thanks Andy!!!!

  • Hey Dan, very nice! keep up the good work. Where r u getting the backing tracks?

  • Check out the info box up on the top right hand side of this page!!

  • Thank you btw!!!

  • I'm really diggin' that "quack" on the plain strings - did you roll down the tone knobs at all, or was that just the pickup mix? Enjoyed the emotive playing, and the way you explored and extended a bunch of different approaches throughout the track.

  • Hey Bigs...yeah, the tone was rolled down a bit for sure...as you can hear at the very end where I roll it back up...it gets pretty stinging!! Thanks...yeah...I'm trying to find some other ways to express my blues...maybe to add to my blues lexicon if you will?

  • Thank you very much my friend!!

  • So sweet, i love it

  • one of your best 5*!

  • Thanks John!!

  • Dan, been watching your vids for awhile now. Felt I should comment. It's been a treat (and please don't take this the wrong way) but your playing has consistantly improved and each video seems to get smoother with much more of a vocal quality to your playing. Keep it up!

  • Thanks slow!! Well, that is the plan...to keep getting better...I'm not always positive I'm going in that direction....but thank you just the same. I appreciate it very much!!

  • sweet!

  • great as always! i still say you should get a prs!!! haha love that guitar, what kinda pickups do you have in it?! and once again, if you want to give me your amp or guitar you can just mail it to me :P haha

  • What's the PRS obsession? I had a McCarty...nice guitar...but nowhere near my Historic LP's IMO. To Strat like....to me.

  • Dan, that's some tasty playing and tone! Very nice! Cheers! T

  • Thanks T....very kind of you!!
