Never played it, but I do remember this trailer of this was on a Red Fraction game I owned on ps2 from many moons ago. Never knew what it was (until today, for some reason I remembered it) just remeber this trailer with that strange opening with the castle swordfight (always seemed strange to me(though I was 10 at the time).

Loved this game as my inital PS2 game I played....and the easter egg at the end of the creadits was to too funny...so good that people like to use it in other youtube videos and prob don't even know what game it came from...or at lest played it

i hated this game. i was really little when this came out so i never really got far at all. and for some reason it never saved. but being little when this came out, it creeped the fuck out of me hahaha it scared the living shit outta me. im about to be 19 now and the memories of it would probably would still creep me out

Awesome game, one of my all-time favs.  Unfortunately I never got to beat Summoner 2 because of a nasty glitch near the end where everything froze during a cut-scene. Broke my heart :'(.

I remember this game was AWESOME!! got you completely hooked and the depth in story was unbelievable. But only got to the part where that prick cut my hand off, then my ps2 kind of shut down... wonder if they'll make another game? haven't found a game yet with the amount of depth as this game ( besides final fantasy games but they all seem the same to me? )

i got into this around the time my ps2 broke down. i ran through 3 ps2s. when they first came out there was a bug where the system would stop reading blue bottom discs and only read silver bottom (dvd). but they don't make blue bottom anymore. not sure why.

Was a pretty good game in its day. Especially as it was a PS2 launch title.

However it never really felt finished.. Too many bugs and glitches, combat was a bit shallow, story was inconsistant.

FF7 is a good game but highly overrated

FF8 was terrible, the story started off good then went to hell near the end of the 2nd disc, the only good things about it were the Full Motion CGI cutscenes and the unique Junction System,that's all

HuskyShinobiChouji FF7 was an amazing game. Yes, at first I was disappointed with how they did the characters, but it truly was a special game for it's time. You can't compare games from today, to games like FF7 because you have to remember when FF7 came out a game of today didn't exist so it wasn't comparable. FF8, really was a great game. I just think that you can't take an old game and compare it a game of today, it just won't match. FF8 and FF7 really were great memories for me.

I'm surprised you didn't like Final Fantasy 10...it honestly didn't do anything for me but it does still has the best graphics for PS2 even today and the Sphere Grid system for learning attacks was incredible

ahh no you shouldn't get back into it, FF isn't doing much original stuff as of late tho Final Fantasy 13 for PS3 and 360 coming out does put a new twist to there ATB system

i found the ps2 version better. The characters did walk a little faster on PC, but i really liked on ps2 how X selects what to fight, or search, or talk, as opposed to clicking on everything

Loved Summoner 2 as well.

I know this is 2008 but I love this game. I just started playing. I have Joseph and Flece at level 10. Graphics arent as good as Champions(RTA..Great game btw!) But this one is still a classic and fun rpg!
