  • Very apetite video

  • These are great knives I have a carbon steel one for fishing - Excelllent!!!

  • it is insane how bad laws in england are, they've got restrictive laws on everything, what's next? your butter knife's too long? oh it is, in jail for a month for possession of a long butter knife :P

  • Holy mackerel!

Nice fish, I'll pass on the toy knife.

  • cool video!!!

  • what size is that knife? thanks!

  • I would like to catch fish and clean them as you do, but the thought of cutting them while they are alive and feeling pain is intolerable. Can you please tell me the best way to painlessly kill them first. Thanks.

  • @Bently100 Use a priest.

  • @x2REPx Are you out of your mind! A priest is much to large to fillet with a knife this size.

  • you have a beautiful house interior. Thanks for showing us the knife. I have No. 8

  • its so good to see you using all the fish, darn tasty 2!

  • your opinel is soo beautiful , i want the same one for my collection

  • Nice knife, and in the US the idiots we have as government education officials have us say fill-a instead of fillet.

  • Hi Steve, many thanks for your swift reply as usual.

I located the same on outdoorgb (dot) com as you did. Will search through to find the same knife as you have, it looks perfect for the job. Thank you again for letting us know of such great equipment. Your an inspiration to us all.

  • Hi Steve, again thanks for your knowledge and information. I'm interested in the Opinel Filleting knife you showed us, I have found an on-line supplier but can't locate the exact same knife, they have a fixed bladed version but it doesn't look the same as yours. I was just wondering if you might have a model or part number please ?. I'm a keen angler here in the UK and the knife looks perfect for filleting at home.

  • @sandmothtube Thanks fo rthe interest. I bought mine in France, it has no markings apart from Opinel stainless inox (inoxidable) France, not even a number. So sorry I can't help you there.

I use it mainly on holiday as I have a Martiini and also a Gerber filleting knife for use at home, but this probabaly outperforms eityher of them.

can only suggest keep searching, if I come up with anything I'll post it here

  • @sandmothtube found them at outdoor gear (sorry can;t post link, they came up quite soon on a google on opinel knives uk

    They're called 'slimline'

  • fish head soup with potatoes and onions!

  • I know this is off-topic, but I absolutely love the sunny yellow colour of your kitchen.

Thank you for sharing another interesting video!

    (Enjoy your dinner!!!)

  • I have a couple of Opinels. They are terrific value for money but as you mention, they are not the sort of knife you can risk slipping in your pocket if you are out and about.

  • The fish always taste better when you have caught them yourself.enjoy.
