I've been listening to Poison since i was born. They've always been my favorite band and Bret my favorite singer of all time and last night I finally got to meet him! A dream come true. Such a nice guy let me in the meet and greet line for free after waiting in the cold for about 3 hours just to see him from up close. Also a great show. Cannot wait till next year too see Poison and Def Leppard live, it's gonna be one of the greatest concerts ever. Cheers
I'm a lover of the 80's and proud of it, but I just wanted to comment on something that some of you are saying about how music these days sucks and what not.....I actually like some of the music out there now, but it's like our parents use to say to us when we were younger...that their music was real music...it's just all about generations and what influenced them ya know?
Your right. I wish more people listened to the rock of the 80's. It's because we're getting older, and the new generation is younger. They have their teen idols, their music of their generation. What is unfortunate is that alot of the music being cranked out today for the new generation is not very good, major lack of talent I think. Their are good bands today granted, but for the majority, their not very good. I think the greatest bands ever to hit the us came from the sixties to the 80s.

I absolutely love Poison. They're an awesome band and Brett Michaels was HOT when he was younger! Anyway, I really like this band. Or glam rock in general. The style from back then ist just awesome. And this is coming from a 17 years old girl. Seriously, it's sad that when people think of music of the 80ies and 90ies, they always think of this pop crap and not of THIS music.

just about everything is improving and getting better as time passes. but this is slowly dissapearing, less and less people listen to this music. but i say it is EASILY the best music people hav heard. simply amazing. its so fun and emotional and meaning ful. now days the music is so plain and sympol. i hear a bunch of noise and words thats it. they r not even thought out to change it. and live is so much better with this kind of music than other music. ROCK IS SIMPLY THE BEST MUSIC. ROCKON80's!

By the way, Last time, I checked it was actual bands like The Beatle, Black Sabbath, and Run DMC that took many forms somewhere not wasted up forgotten hair metal bands that are nowhere now.

The main thing is that the hair metal music is still alive- even if the bands might have split. I for one prefer this music to most modern stuff.
In turn it could influence a new generation of musicians.
Hopefully anyway. :)
The music will never die so long as people keep listening to it

@sfchase I just like to add that they aren't bringing anything back to MY generation. They're more like recycling material that has been introduced to us around 30 years ago. I personally love the music of my today, and the 80's stuff. I just refuse to be a musical reactionist idiot who complains about how music sucks today and does nothing about but complain.
