Beautiful capturing of the essence of a shrine -- the stillness, old architecture and historic building details, and the serenity of the stained glass of Our Lady. Brava!!!! xxooJay
I would love to explore Liguria, but have never gotten there. Here is the extent of my Italian travels: Rome (2x), Naples, Ravello, Sorrento, Pompei, Florence, Venice, and Bologna (many times for the Children's Book Festival). Lovely, lovely land, and we love visiting so much!

Thanks Jay.
I like to discover ancient villages.
I love old doors, especially.
I like to capture the sense of peace and serenity that these places are capable to tramsit.
Liguria is a region particularly rich in medieval village

Non ho capito il tuo commento.
Volevo precisare che questo slide.show, non ha niente a che vedere con l'isola di Lampedusa.
Il santuario, si trova a Castellaro in Liguria.

Interesting history about the shrine to the Virgin Mary.
I love your photos of all the old doors, there must be a story behind everyone.
