  • The drainage around a house is very important, also vegetation can keep damp "bad" air in pockets - trees can hold large pockets - of damp air around buildings, and hinder the sunshine in drying the ground thus reducing molds and such..

    Even cold water pipes can condensate water if damp air reaches them, so they should be wrapped in some airtight form of insulation.

    Walls should be able to breathe on the outside but be more tight on the inside - moist is then transported out..

    Stuff like that.

    Oh my, that was unclear... the meaning was that a dry ground is less fertile, meaning less mold, bacteria and all that.
