Why can't I hear the arc as a buzzing sound when there is no modulation signal?

Because the modulation frequency is above audible and the arc is stable.

What do you use for your driver circuit? Is it Pulse Width Modulation, Pulse Position Modulation or Frequency Modulation?

Hi CoolDudeClem I use a simple AM (amplitude modulation) audio signal is introduced with an impedance adaptor transformer .

u can get excelent sound quality if u use two hard sharped electrodes, those balls are no good
